Hello everyone!! Did you miss me?? I need to come here more often. Too bad Photobucket has my pics hostage. Still collect these plastic army men but not as much as I use to. Good hearin' from ya. Man, the PBucket frustrations! I feel you.

Hey hawanja welcome! I used the Ultimate Console Database plenty. For identification, info and nostalgic perusal. My belated thanks for the usefulness of the resource. MOTU KOs identification was what drew me to this site and I guess I never left. Thank you for the review contributions, hope you get some further use from this forum.

Everytime you mention these ... things, a vintage action figure dies. I ... can ... see how others are interested, if I really try. Dependent on the individual, but the idea of one in my room, regardless of the IP, makes me feel doity. I walked past one doing work in a client's house, if it wasn't for the Dr Who library next to it, I could have spent the rest of my life guessing. Just looked like 'generic office worker with her hair parted a certain way'. Hell, I'm not even sure if it was Dr Who anymore. They made a Wynonna Earp one of these. With a chase figure. I reckon that says everything. Bonus knowledge: you can send away for custom ones of yourself.

Think they're their own ting. I saw 'em, quite like 'em (just for fantasy at that scale) but I've never watched GoT, so couldn't justify getting 'em.
I see these as more geared toward the huge GoT fan (who might consider figures) rather than the huge figure fan (who might consider GoT). Funko are remarkably polished in that department; selling figures to folk who don't collect figures.

I think if the Expanded Universe was followed for upcoming movies, they would have retained fans interest and thus not killed the toy market for the movies. Was there even a Rise of Skywalker figure line released for the last movie? Yeesh, what a fall.

Ha! The minute those Hasbro ML reveals popped up I could practically hear Thor Laserpunch making strange biological noises. The vid was really well presented, yay ToyGalaxy person. Most YouTube figure/toy related presenters kinda' churn my ear wax (generally find YouTube pretty irritating these days) but that was cruisy and informative. Coincidentally been watching Defenders of the Earth and desiring figure goodness on that front, so nice job, NECA! Feel like they're gonna' have to double up on The Phantom for every set because so many peeps will just want him alone. Though did I hear mention of a dedicated The Phantom line? Neat. Also heard "the whole line" of Defenders of the Planets mentioned. But didn't see the brats anywhere, did anyone ever care about the kids in that show? (admittedly I can't name even one of them) Bossfight's H.A.C.K.S. are durn purdy, but I'll never chase 'em. Just really like the idea of 3.75" or 4" fantasy, wanted so much more of that as a kid. I can't think much of ReAction Army of Darkness, not when I've got Palisades AoD hanging on the wall. ReAction AoD would just feel like buying a licenced postcard. Most ReAction ... just, blah. It's when they release, like, American Werewolf in London or something that I care. But not enough to buy it. Baby Yoda (yes, I call him that) is at once a magical creation of puppetronics with nostalgic adorability, and the most ruthless jugular chomping way to get an f-tonne of moolah. I'm not complaining; just too cynical to not constantly see it. So I won't buy anything pertaining to it, all dignified I am. That said, I'm a total goof for Zorii Bliss same as I was for Zam Wesell. Cos they look cool. It's deep, I won't go into it. I fully understand the GI Joe styling and imagine it as a supplement. Not like they could afford to transform the whole line forever more, it's a way clever decision. Snake Eyes looks filthy tasty.

It's so cool you came in with this contribution and these images. It's very much my jam. The bubbles are really clear, so it seems they've been stored well. Great photos. I only have TOTLT 'Huk' w/out armor or weapons, so it's a pleasure to drool over these.

Hey, Carlos/Starman. I'm looking at those 2nd series pics in another tab right now. I don't understand, because they're the 10th post down on the first page of this thread. Are they somehow not visible on your device? They are blurred and have a Photobucket sticker across them. Blurred on my PC, yes. Perfectly visible on my mobile. I've saved them and can either email them to the requester or repost them. But I'll ask your advice as mod, fc, seeing as they're Matt's pics not mine.

Is that one still visible but inactive, or is it offline altogether? If you mean my site, it is private, but if you want to see it, I can let you join and see the photos. It is all wrestling figure collections from the members. Yeah, I'm keen. Unless it requires thinking that is 😉

Wow. If we let it this could get real philosophically rabbitholey, real quick. But I'm drinking coffee past 2am and I had a productive day. So let's.
I'd be more inclined to use the term "energy" rather than "feelings". If an individual imbues something with physical, mental, or emotional energy that's gonna' reflect itself back on the individual's reality which in turn, be it through action or inaction, will have ripple effects through people, places, animals, objects, thoughts, feelings, etc. within our interconnected world.
Of course if science team no.6 puts heart and brain monitors and inserts wires into your Hobnobbin plush their essays and research papers will all be titled, "Nah,bro".
Let's say I'm in the middle of the desert & I want a pack of smokes or a deck of cards. I have no way of getting these things. But Buddha suddenly provides me with a vision directing me to the 2nd rock, behind the 3rd cow skull, under the scorpion nest and I find a pack. Scientific researchers would suggest I just tapped into subconscious knowledge but I know that if I didn't have faith in Buddha, Robin Hood, Madam Curie or whatever, I never would have bothered to look. Both are right.
Same if I was obsessed with Popeye the Sailor Man to the point where I chloroformed and abducted 100 people over a 5 year period and tattooed Popeye's face on their inner thigh prior to releasing them. Authorities are gonna' say it was all me. But the same might not have happened if Popeye didn't exist and I only watched Betty Boop. And, Popeye, although fictional, is gonna' be pretty damn real for all my victims when they next take off their jeans to hop into the shower.
Wait. Oh, right. Um ... intimacy ... plushies ... er, It's 2020 now and you'd be crazy not to believe it! (My best answer) Certainly you'd be crazy not to have some level of respect, empathy or compassion for those who do.
Perhaps it's like; you can buy the most expensive mountain bike but it doesn't make you a better cyclist? Or you can splash out on a fancy crystal ball & Tarot deck but an actual clairvoyant will just end up scrying into a slice of cucumber at the kitchen counter if they need to. I'm saying; people can, and do, surround themselves with strings of other people or fixate on an individual, often for years, without finding that connection. But if they find with "Kelly Samson the Tartan Thrift-shop Unicorn" more power to 'em, I say. As long as they're honest with themselves about it and it doesn't mess with their ability to remain hygienic, eat, sleep and play fair at Tiddlywinks.
Heck, look at the "feeling" people derive from money and so many of the detrimental effects therein. And we all know money is 100% made up. World might be a better place if we all had a long chat with "Snuggles" instead.
Whatever feelings your soft-toy does have, it's highly unlikely it will feel a sudden desire to leave you after twenty years for the local artisan cheese maker while you're at work, emotionally blackmail you or break your heart. And if Teddy does feel that way then, THEN, you're in deep trouble.

Wow. Just looked at the previous photo on a second device ... aaand it just looks like a black square. Really outdoing myself now, tune in next week when I post photos I took in the dark of my new black socks. That's funny. The longer you stare at it the more the face takes form, like a "when you see it" scare post. She's more bad ass in the dark for sure. It's the faintest phosphorescence in plastic I've ever seen. You had some Goddesses, yeah? Blue girl you had, she GID too?

I loved TMNT 2012, but man did playmates drop the ball badly with the figures. They were all three points of awfulness. Basically all out of scale, nearly unarticulated rotocast style toys, with awful or no paint apps. Such a shame because the 2012 series was terrific. Hear ya. Very hit and miss I found the 2012s. Tiger Claw, such an excellent design, but a painfully average figure. Newtralizer's fairly cool but needs about 50% extra height and girth at least. I shamelessly love Mutagen Man. I like having Casey and Usagi, but there was a plethora of characters that didn't warrant a second glance on the shelves, their poor quality quite apparent. Also, while I can dig his techno-punk design and his accessories are unique, what the squanch was going on with Bebop's special feature? Wheel in his back, wheels in his heels, and vague instructions suggesting you can place him against a wall and he'll roll down it? Unless Playmate's headquarters is built on a 45° angle I just, I just ... I can't, I drank too much coffee to thunk about it. Pretty certain that special feature is called "dropping your toy on the ground". Paint app thing, kinda' interesting as it echoes the original '80s/'90s figures. But ultimately unnecessary these days.

Ooh, don't even get me started on Ivan Steranko Rocksteady. Serious Russian stereotype but they failed to nail it home by making him a rhino instead of a russian brown bear! Oh, so he has to conform to your twisted worldview of anthropomorphic warriors by being a literal Russian Bear?? You're part of the problem, man, be part of the solution: celebrate our shared Russian rhinoceros heritage! Sigh ... you are right. Guess I just got caught up in it when my local hillbilly club started chanting, "No More Koalas in Ancient Egyptian Garb Which Only Speak in Italian!" It was just so catchy my anthropomorphic redneck side became triggered. It's cool they made the Russian dude a rhino. Otherwise something cliched might happen where he gets armed with a hammer and sic ... ... um, nevermind. (Edit: At least they did do something original. Which was to give this figure really crappy legs)

... So basically Sandstorm (the camel guy above), Scratch (a cat in a keystone capers criminal outfit), Hotspot (a firefighter Dalmation) and robotic versions of Bebop and Rocksteady are a few of the truly scarce vintage TMNT figures. And it's probably for the better. Nowadays someone striving for relevance would say that these archetypes are racist or something, and call for them to be banned anyway... LOL! Darn prejudice towards Cats and Dalmations! I mean, not every cat's a thief, but cops keep harassing them whenever they see them driving a nice car. And not every Dalmatian is with the Fire Dept. I'm sure some have jobs in IT or accounting too. Ooh, don't even get me started on Ivan Steranko Rocksteady. Serious Russian stereotype but they failed to nail it home by making him a rhino instead of a russian brown bear! It's an outrage on animal equality issues! An outrage!

My closure comes in December. Doubt it will satisfy, but it will be closure. Quite sure I won't be attending a cinema for Star Wars ever after that.
I liked TFA enough. TLJ just disregarded all the trusted ingredients and tried way too hard in all the wrong places. Expecting ROS to be better, but not expecting more than that. I'm only looking forward to it as much as I'd be looking forward to seeing an old friend for the last time. An old friend who having lost an eye, an arm, a leg and a lung, has finally lost their mind and barely recognizes you, but you still have to pay respects by staring at them for 2 1/2 hours eating popcorn ... nyom ... nyom ...
But anyway! .... Even if The Mandalorian (or any SW TV material) is technically good. I have zero hype. Modern Star Wars just rings hollow when I tap on it.

First time seeing these in person, they seemed to be unaltered production pieces, i held and inspected the loose one, if felt, looked and smelled authentic, yes i smelled it lol either way they both sold the first day I'm totally a sniffer of books and toys. You're not alone in your olfactory appreciation of items. Man, Super 7. Good time for MOTU toys and, speaking with even greater appeal to me, Conan. Those look minty. I LOVE the Super 7 'Classic Cover Conan' that's available online too. But my wallet probably doesn't.

Everything's been downhill since we phased out Taco Tuesdays. When you have to sell kidneys to buy figures, tacos are the least of your problems. And when you have to sell tacos to buy kidneys, figures are the least of your problems (which might b why I'm here)

Never heard of hard-head Remcos in this line. The Warrior Beast Snakeman always seems to have a more solid head, but I'd attribute it to a smaller head sculpt resulting in less "squish factor". I think your rubber hardening theory is good. The only plastics variant I know is that my Machiste has a waxy type plastic used for his chest - the soft kind of stuff used for original MOTU arms.
