Huh, whaddya know?Picked up Stibnite from GOTUC 7yrs ago to the month and only just noticed her face glows in the dark. Just when you think you know someone. 'S darn faint though, highest cam exposure and I still needed a touch of backlighting.

Funko never fails to release stuff just because it won’t sell. It will still ship 17 waves that’ll be on quasi-permanent clearance until 2035. Dude, you gotta' stop hiding yer undying love for Funko. Stop playing hard to get n' curb that enthusiasm. We've all seen your Pop Vinyl Baby Groot tattoo like a hundred times now.

I feel like the Ideal Star Team, Colorforms Spacemen, or even Major Matt Mason is the right kind of road to start down. Just simply image searching these could bring up a lateral result.

So I'm seeing Funko Savage World figs up 4 pre-order. But only the horror icons & Thundycats. Wonder whether the Conan stuff will be made, might not have garnered the same attention across as many fans (shrug). Darn shame if not.

Initially I had lines like Blackstar, Lords of Light pop to mind, but the more I read, the more lines were eliminated. More clues = harder the case in this instance. Perhaps it was a toyline well enough established in Europe or Japan but imported in scant amounts in a few US areas.
And the internet does have its limits, I've searched tirelessly, TIRELESSLY, for a bootleg released in my parts with a Remco Greg Gagne head & Galoob Golden Girl body and now I accept it has simply never been uploaded or archived. Despite the wonders of the net there are still films, music and toys I know of with only the same old handful of results available through search engine use.
Having functioning lights would suggest this wasn't some cheapo instantly forgotten line though.

Aye, there’s Kingpin, Bullseye, even Hand ninjas, but they feel closer to Daredevil or the Marvel Universe at large. Jigsaw was one of those weird ball-hip Toy Biz Legends from ye oldern days. But, yeah, you’re right, he just kills muhfuhs too damn good! Ooh. I googled that Jigsaw. Yeah, that's really smooshing me in the face with the big, prominent pair o' ball ... hips. Particularly on the white suit version it stands out. Same thing once stopped me getting the Tomb of Dracula Toy Biz fig.

Re marionettes; I imagine the limb joints would need to be all loosened up, or cut and reassembled to give it puppet floppiness? It's quite an intriguing concept.

I think I can hear you kicking yourself right now. Priced by an employee that clearly doesn’t do any research at all. Used to frequent that comic shop when I lived near it, got mad good scores, like when they sell vintage comics on behalf of impatient folks or have ordered stuff in for unreliable customers so just want it gone. Being literally the only real comic store in the city I know they have to put up with dorks that will order tons o' stuff in, pay part of the layaway, then simply never make contact again. Reckon it be something 'long them lines. I think every now and then of taking that old game out and replaying it but can’t ever seem to get it together. I do that a lot—Manhunt, The Suffering, Max Payne, etc. That was some good mindlessly violent fun though. And it makes me pine for more Punisher villains in action figure form. I can’t believe after all these years we never got a Bushwacker figure considering he’s shared with Spidey and others. Only guy we ever got was a Jigsaw in Marvel Legends. How about the Russian or a Ma Gnucci with alternate stump limbs?? Bullseye ... sorta' a Puni enemy, Kingpin maybe? Frank's just too darn efficient at eliminating his foes they usually never last beyond a single story arc, haha. Jeez, I don't even remember the Legends Jigsaw.

Haha, well their original One: 12 Pun still looks quite good. Unfortunately, even the standard seems to run about $150 on ebay and there’s so much other ridiculously priced stuff I want this year so I think probably just this one will have to keep me happy for now. How much were they asking for him? 110 nzd (that's probly less than 80 usd) I imagine my facepalm is audible at the time of writing this. Going back, Thomas Jane was decent also. His 2004 movie was a bit lackluster but okay, and it had a pretty dope tie-in video game where you could drown thugs in toilets and whatnot. Fun stuff. I love that PS2 game, still gots it somewhere. Out of every game allowing you the opportunity to impale a gangster on a live rhinoceros' horn it would be my favourite. It was generally pretty dark and original thanks to Palmiotti and Ennis' writing, a good blend of the Thomas Jane portrayal & comics of the time. Still jam that Capcom beat 'em up fairly regularly too. Nick Fury FTW.

Never watched an episode of Batman Beyond, but this was an SDCC exclusive and he looks pretty snazzé so paranoia made me bite the bullet and preorder him before the secondary market price became ridiculous. Something I like about this figure is that in all media I've seen the Terry McGinnis Batman portrayed, he's rendered in heavy shadow/contrasting ink or stylised minimally. Figure gives you that option of shedding light on his deets and suit tech which makes things interesting.

Long before Frank Castle was adopted as a mascot for 2nd amendment-loving rednecks, his scum-murdering antics blew a .50 caliber hole in my heart Well put, man. I long since gave all my Puni comics n figures away, (Punisher hipster confessions) but still keep an eye on what happens with the character. That War Zone movie was pretty satisfying in its portrayal of Frank being so grim and unceremoniously efficient at dispatching mafioso mooks. Haven't caught the Netflix show yet, but watched that zero-parkour-Daredevil show purely for Punisher. Hands down my favorite of your Mezco One: 12s. Deceptively simple and a good defining version of the character. I actually nearly bought a One:12 Punisher at my comic store in the city but was: a) rushing in and out on a work break to clear my comic bag b) not certain what I was glancing at in the moment and didn't wanna regret the impulsiveness. Yay, I live to regret the hesitance instead. Yes, an anecdote about as thrilling as "I didn't catch a fish once" but the fact I nearly swooped up one o' these Mezcos on ignorant impulse explains just how good it looked.

I used to think that 3D print tech could be a threat regarding repro parts and figures, but I'm not worried about it. I think there'll always be a way to differentiate, be it weight, flexibility, looking at it under a magnifier or blacklight - something.

They (Mego) have gone for some unique licences for sure, I love that. I didn't realise the price point was actually so moderate, I just assumed it would be a greedier ask, so they will prob'ly kick more ass on this venture than I originally suspected.

Eh, I don't really speak Mego. But lemme spare my two cents:
I only have one FTC figure, and one NECA 8" figure to compare. REH's Solomon Kane & Evil Dead 2 Ash, respectively. Pretty much only because of the licenced characters rather than the 8" doll aspect. Although the love generally seems to go to NECA over Figure Toys Co, I probably prefer the Kane FTC fig. Visually anyhow. The outfit details are great, particularly the vest, baldric, gloves and style of the plastic accessories. The attention to Kane's hair-style is excellent too. ED2 Ash just looks a bit plain and holds more "realistic" proportions which isn't so retro approp. Quality-wise I don't doubt NECA are better but I haven't opened Ash. I did bother to jab a pin into the zip-tie, open up Kane and play round. I noticed he has a twangy shoulder-joint which keeps wanting to return to the same place. Pretty disappointing that, considering I have a beat to crap Mego Durant from 'The Black Hole' which survived my bro, me, dogs, cats, days at the beach, days in the yard, years at the bottom of boxes and his limbs are still as good as my other non-played with Megos.
Zombie-face syndrome not withstanding, Mego knew how to make a toy that could both look good and take a serious bashing.
While I'm not super excited for Mego's return, it's cool & will be interesting to observe. Yeah, they'll harvest some clams alright, but geez, narrow target market. Is "the real thing" still the real thing when so many others have kinda carried, relit, and reinvented the torch? It's not quite as hard as getting a kid to put down Angry Birds and acknowledge the original Crush the Castle, but similar. Mego will never be that old-school equivalent of Pop-vinyl they used to be, so it matters that they're stuff feels/looks EXACTLY as 'strong and special' as it used to. If they're only on par with Bif, NECA, Emge, etc. what's to stop people enjoying what they already have there?

Yeah, huh? One needs that kind of "ruthless divide" to be terribly serious about doing big reselling toys (or similar) when it's also a personal passion. Division between their own tastes and what will work, which for myself is so much easier said than done. Also run that risk of killing the magic in something you love when it becomes serious business.

I hafta throw one out that I am surprised hasn’t actually been made (afaik). Lone Wolf & Cub aka Baby Cart aka Shogun Assassin. How great would that be in action figure form?? The cart alone with all the pop out blades and gimmicks would be awesome! They did make a 12" one a while back (2001), but most people still customize their own version on account of the $300 pricetag which never seems to drop. I don't think the figure went the full deal with the secret weaponized baby-cart either, just a standard Sunday driver baby-cart.

Wowzers. Artwork by Jeffy, Age 3 1/2. Clearly these were primarily made to smuggle black tar heroin. 😂 Mebbe. There was all that residue under the masks. Did I just rinse $1000 of illicit slime down the kitchen sink?

One would think that they would make at least a little difference, with a mustache or beard, change the hair color, a scar, tattoo, etc. At the very least different hair colours, eh?

Changes to the heads would depend on how the figures and accessories were carded. If the masks were over the heads, there wouldn't be a need to make the heads different. Sorta makes you wonder why they want the route of masks at all, 'stead of just having the luchadore mask/face be the default attached head. I reckon they were carded 'masks on' (total guess). Them masks sure don't breathe at any rate, lot of oily build up under there I had to wash away. Surprised they didn't get pimples.

Picked up these jaspers from a nice friendly seller located in Mexico. Los Invencibles Del Ring, they're rocking the same body type as Original Toys Super Ninjas. Right down to keeping the date/manufacture stamp. Made in Macao for a Mexican distributor is all I've found out about em. And where Super Ninjas had individual names and even accompanying comics ... ... these guys are all Frank, or Steve (or Tony as my girlfriend calls 'em, hmm, what does she know which I don't?) H3ck, I don't really collect Super Ninja or wrestlers, but thought these palookas just looked Purdy and fresh in their color design. The sculpt even keeps the shoulder circle Super Ninja used for each character's emblem, but without any sticker. Given the Made in Macao foot sticker and paint freshness I don't think any emblem has been lost, rather just never applied. I won't hold my breath for a complete backing card or character names to surface so I guess I just gotta name them meself; Clink, Dragonfruit Bill, Funsy, and Hombre Horn. Aka; Tony, Tony, Tony and Tony. Please feel free to add name suggestions.

Birthday month so I'm spoiling myself the way I would be spoiled if I were a Pomeranian owned by some mafioso's wife from Parsippany. With tiramisu off the floor? Decadent. Oh wait, I get it. Mafia wives give their pooches action-figures. 😜 hehe
