Any comments on these? Like? Dislike? These are supposed to come out in the spring/summer in 5 packs as an anniversary salute to G.I.Joe 25th year.

I like them, they look cool. I'm worried they will decide to produce more than just the 25 they currently are talking about.

I think they are pretty damn cool. What kinda price are they gonna try and get? I could see paying $40 or so, much more than that and i'll lose interest real quick. I also bet they pull the old variant trick to juice the hardcore collectors. Maybe i'll let the fanboys nab them all up and then buy them from them on ebay for a cheaper price six months later.

I did hear that they were going to be at the 40 dollar price point, but who knows? if they come to Canada they will not get that for them easily..............!?!?!?!?! I do hope they do something variant wise....like a Cobra Commander with 4 soldiers...........

They look pretty cool, but if they start a whole line about them I don't what to get "sucked in"... I try to focus my collections a bit more lately, and hence try not to start new line.

$40+ sounds kinda expensive for what look to me like GI Joe sculpt Microman figures, I can't see me paying more than $20 a pop for the few I'd be interested in

I think that these will sell for 10 separately (after the two 5 packs they are going to sell individually)....so 40 for a 5 pack is not that bad..............although they will price themselves out of business by over pricing. The 6 packs that sold for 20 bucks were a deal.................double that for less is not worth it to me.

Heh, maybe I'm just used to the stuff that does make it over here selling for almost double what it does in the US. If I find these at £5 (approx $10) I'll be happy, but I doubt I'll see them for less than £8.

I wonder if Hasbro realizes that alot of people will leave the figures in the package? (not me I open everything) But if they did you would figure they would use some good art work on the packages.

so, for some reason, i thought that they were going to be bigger than the 3 and 3/4". I thought they were more like 6 inches tall, based on the pictures. I'm a little less interested now. Plus, I know they are going to do more than 25 of them. It will end up being too many to collect. Although, if they release a beachhead, i'll pick him up. He was always my favorite character.

What are they going for? I bought the Joe (5) pack, the Cobra (5) pack and the (5) Wave-1 individual figures for $107 shipped. I figured $7 each wasn't too bad, but wandered what the stores were selling them for.

The next wave has Beachhead, Serpentor, Cobra Commander 2004, Storm Shadow 2004, Cobra Trooper Comic Book deco, Cobra Jet Pack Trooper, Cobra Stinger Driver, Buzzer & Lady Jaye. There may be more, but that's all I could find. They'll be out in October.

Kmarts (not super K) seem to be getting the single carded figs; one case per store.
I snagged both Snake-eyes, storm shadow, and the cobra officer.
I'm looking to trade Snake-eyes (black wolf) and storm shadow for loose singles from the 5-packs (Snake-eyes, Scarlett, cobra soldier).

They are pretty nice. I wouldn't panic about getting them though, there are a ton of online sites that are selling them for about the same price as the retail stores. Collectors are just going crazy for them right now. I would have to say that they are the nicest re-issue I have ever seen for any figure line. I'm usually not a fan of re-issues. Looks like someone finally got it right. He-Man came close. The Transformers totally missed. Star Wars was alright, there were just too many things put out at once. Micronaut re-issues completely SUCKED!!! I might welcome some Super Powers or Secret Wars re-issues, they could even use the same molds and styles and just pick up where they left off. I want a Thor and Hulk Secret Wars figure and countless DC characters for the Super Powers line.

I love the idea of the re-issue Super Powers and/or Secret Wars additions. Speaking of He-Man...there's some speculation that a new Masters line may be in the works in the near future. Mattel is showing a painted prototype of a newly designed classic style He-Man figure at this year's SDCC. The thought of a new "classic style" MOTU line with the poseability of a ML or DCSH style figure is pretty exciting. Although nothing is confirmed-Mattel has also been polling con goers as to their interest in future MOTU product, among other lines. The idea of a more classically inspired line really makes since in light of the success of other 80's vintage style collector lines.

They're already starting that variant crap. I can understand the gold and silver headed pimp Destro's, since it was released at a Comic con. That's okay, but now they have one Snake Eyes with a gray timberwolf and one with a black timberwolf. I hate that it when toy lines do that. One or two variants is cool, but when you put out two or three with each wave, that's a pain in the ass.

Yeah, that and the parrot looks like crap. I don't think those are the finished product though, at least I hope they aren't. Who knows? Serpentor sucks also.

Found the the 5 pack set of Cobra with that really cool box. I love all the art, figure, and commercial designs on it. It was the last one at my local Target a few days ago.

That Zartan face looks like garbage too. Same on Serpenthor and Shipwreck. Satan looks sweet though.

I bought a loose Cobra Commander off of Ebay for 4 Pounds shipping included, and that's the only figure I'll be getting of these since I'm a big fan of Cobra Commander in that particular - helmeted- costume. At the inflated prices dealers are asking for these right now, I feel I can wait 2 to 5 years before I pick up the rest.

I received 25th Cobra Commander today. Very nice figure! he's a bit taller than the vintage one and a bit more slender, and with modern 'Marvel Legends' type articulation. It's a cool figure - but at the same time this is such a stylistic departure from the more common figures from the 80's, 90's and 00's that I don't feel any need to get any more of these. I'm a huge Cobra Commander fan for his blue helmeted costume, so I wanted this one badly. The others...not so much. I'll stick to the old style Joes, thanks.
Still. He looks quite badass next to 30th ann. Vader.

I'm with you ghouldrool, except I got both of the 25th Ann. boxed sets mainly for their novelty and the packaging. I haven't really been a big fan of these re-issues. Don't get me wrong, I think these anniversary ones are very well made, but I would rather spend my cash on vintage and foreign Joes and vehicles that I am missing.
