How many "Mannix" figure lines are there?

I stumbled on Rocklord's posts a good while back and became hooked on "Mannix" figures.

There's very little known about these lines and how they are related to each other and some of that seems to be based on rumor and misinformation.

My hope is that we can share information and pictures of the various lines in this series of figures and create a single accurate resource for them.

Please post any pictures you have, particularly of carded figures (and backs of cards where appropriate).

Please post any concrete information you have about when & where these figures were sold. 


My current theory is that the 5" figures were produced first (date stamped 1993, more detail, card art on the back of the card) and the 5.5" figures came later (no date stamp, less detail, blank back of card). This would date the Mannix wresters at 1994 or later. Anyone have evidence that contradicts this?

I'd love more info and pics too Thanks for starting the thread. There's threads on the board I've noticed but obit for each line. As a huge fan of the 90s WWF Toys these ripped I fell for them right add I saw them.

The OverTop Man and Top Warrior figures are 100% identical. Same molds, same paint, same quality material and accessories.

OverTop Man backer cards measure 9.25 x 6.5" . Top Warrior cards measure 10.25 x 7.25".

Top Warrior figures come with nifty trading cards w/ amusing bios that are identical to the bios on the backer card.

Anyone know what store the price sticker is from?? CW??

Here is a body mold comparison between the 5" and 5.5" figures. These figures have the same arm/leg style, but are not the same mold.

Nice stuff, man I need more. I only have the 1 bull guy but drool over these. I wonder if they bootlegged their own toys. Like the molds got crummy, so the made new castings, and that might make the next gen of figures smaller slightly? I dunno, I could be talking out of my butt on that. Someone with a better knowledge of mold making might know.

I decided to take a closer look at my figures and images from the internet...

There are more significant differences between the smaller and larger molds. Some biggies are the larger molds have a visible screw in the back of the figures, larger molds have turtlenecks, smaller mold's have a "roll" at the waist and peg holes on their feet... 

It looks like the Monster Warriors, OverTop Man/Top Warrior figures may be the only ones with the smaller molds. I don't have any Two Face Monsters, but from images on the net some look like the smaller mold and some the larger... All the rest of the other "Mannix" lines use the larger molds. 

Since the smaller molds are the only ones dated (MCT 1993) and are more detailed, I'm thinking these might be the original official figures. And the larger mold undated figures, including the Mannix IWC wrestlers (which have a blank cardback as well), are the actual knockoffs... this would mean calling all these figures "Mannix" would be a bit of a misnomer...

Looking forward to anyone's thoughts/pictures that might shed light on this.

Do you know which one of the above list is the Two Faced Monster knock-offs with the Galaxy Warriors bodies?

I love the Mannix stuff (they're so smooth!).  I'm  going well on Apes Attacks and Wrestling Champions (i think I'm one short on the Wrestlers), I really want those monster wrestlers Monster Maniacs and He-Many Master of the Fighters but haven't found any yet (that are cheap, lol)

I didn't include those figures because I didn't think they used any of the "Mannix" molds the other lines do.

I'm not a big fan of the wrestlers more of the fantasy themed figures like master of the fighters and monster maniacs. "Sharks attack" is not the name of the line it is "Mighty Sharks"

Yup its blank thats why i didn't bother with a picture

Not a lot of peepz have seen these carded before i think

I made this discovery pretty recent before i would also refer to them as sharks attack

This thread is comming along nicely

Here's the pic of a carded Monster Warriors figure borrowed with permission from Captain Coder at www.figurerealm.com.

I believe there is more than one card variation to this line as the Lizard Monster in this pic does not have a shield, but my loose one does.

** In fact, now that I look at this picture more closely, I can see from the backer card that this figure is clearly made by the same company as the Top Warrior series. I can now make out a Lizard Monster trading card behind this figure too just like the Top Warrior trading cards I have. I bet that there is a TT Toys (OverTop Man) carded version of the Monster Warriors series that probably came with the shields.
