People know what they are the name has been kept shrouded to a point so people that were in the know didn't have to battle it out with new people that now find them the bees knees. When they did come up they would only really get one bid but I'm sure after today that will all change . Most times oddly enough the ppl that had them carded never refereed to them as Planet of the Apes but oddly the loose sellers would almost always refer to them as that . Sniper and 10incher have carded sets and Sniper has a good amount of variations. They seemed to have running color /parts changes . I have a bunch loose and sooner or later hoping to get a carded or at least loose complete ones. Pretty often we refer to them as Mannix bodies being that was the manufacture that made the wrestling figures using the same bodies and was more widely known .

The figures I posted are from series 1.
Series 2 figures are much more detailed. The bodies are far less generic than the those in the first series. The details are sculpted, not simply painted. I'll try to post pics of the series 2 figures tomorrow.
Thanks for the info.

These are pretty awesome. I also enjoy the fact that many of the accessories are knock-offs of weapons from other toy lines.
Pictures of the second series would be awesome.

sorry I didnt realize there was already an Apes Attacks thread! I started to ask questions in the other thread I started about Last Warriors. Well I'm curious, were these figures re-used for different toy lines? I swear I've seen a similar body structure but not on a wrestling figure, I want to say it was a freddy krueger figure, but I may be way off. Thanks!

You don't see too many Apes knock off lines, as far as I know. Very interesting, thanks for sharing!
