My first star wars figure was Luke Skywalker (bespin). My grandmother found him in the street walking to our house from the bus and gave him to me, so I guess that I have her to thank for my addiction.
One of my other first figures was a battle damage he-man figure.

The first figure i ever had was a Star Wars Chewbacca figure. I don't know where i got him from, I think my dad found him somewhere in a box of used toys. That was all it took (and the movies I guess) to hook me on Star Wars toys!

i grew up with turtles around there peak so i was really into that in my youth i dont remember finding the toys to great despite the fact that i owned a bunch of them and used to have them vs in hordaks cave becaue i didnt have the sewer playset. but my real passion was transformers even though i only had 3 dragstrip, quake, overkill i used to constantly borrow them from friends powermaster prime was the greatest most people i knew had bif troves of them so i was always borrowing them but at that time i couldnt stand the cartoon it was to tedious and not actionpacked enough for my limited attention span i remember throwing the remote on the grounf in frustration because i wanted to like transformers but yeah my first tf was dragstrip and i started collecting transformers again 9 months ago and spend near everycent i earn on tham

The first action figure that I ever remember getting was a Star wars C3PO.My dad went to a store & I was begging for a figure because a kid next door had some & until that point all I had was the basic old green Army men.Knowing my dad the way that I do, he just grabbed one as he passed & C3PO was the one he got. I was thrilled but if I had to choose, I think my 1st figure would have been someone else....Vader or Chewie...But those would come later.

Hmm, don't think I remember the exact first figure I got. The furthest back I can remember my great grandma bought me the Jabba the Hutt Playset. I was stolked! I've always had a soft spot in my heart for aliens and monsters.
I can still remember having jabba throw the ewoks into the dungeon. Good times...

I had many action figures as a kid but I can remember my very first action figure as a collector. It was back in 1995 and it was the POTF2 Ponda Baba.

I think my first action figure was Marx's Johnny Apollo which my parents bought me at Kennedy Space station when I was about 3 or 4 years old. I actually still have him to this day and I would love to complete him.

My first Star Wars figures in 1977 for my X-Mas present: Obi-Wan, Darth Vader, C-3PO, R2D2, Chewbacca, Tie-Fighter Pilot and 3 Storm Troopers. Vehicles: X-Wing, Tie Fighter and Land Speeder. I played with them but not much.

Welcome to the board! Great question. I wouldn't have been able to tell you until about two days ago. Clambo inspired me to go on a hunt for Fisher Price Adventure People, which brought me to the Fisher Price Adventure People Alpha Star Space Set -- a toy I haven't thought of in at least 24 years.

As far as my first action figure type toy, it is really hard to think back that far. Since I can't count legos, playmobile and stuff like that, I will say it is a cross between the Lone Ranger and Tonto, and our mego pocket heroes we got. We got Batman, Robin, Lex Luthor, Superman, Hulk and Spidey. But I just can't remember what came first. I also remember getting the Gi Joe Tank with the Steeler figure at christmas around the same time as well. God, I need to go ask my mom for pictures next time I see her. Maybe there is something in there.

I'm sure the first toys I had were Tonka trucks and various farm equipment toys.
First action figure I have no idea but the earliest I can remember is Masters of the Universe. I also remember I had a G.I. Joe in pre school but I think that I had He Man before that.

I love that Stretch tree pic (although remove the context of a discussion about peoples first action figures and it's pretty surreal)
