mine was action man - the uk name for gi joe, the 12" version, with gripping hands wearing a british army uniform,i had it a very short time when it was stolen by another kid when i left it in a club for like 10 seconds when i went out with my dad.
my dad bought me another, and when we got it home he had 2 left hands, so my mum took me to the factory where action man was made and they gave him a right hand.
back then the factory had a repair clinic, i remember taking the same action man to get his legs re attached when they came off, and they gave him a new head whilst he was there.
the next figure i had was megos fist fighting spidey which i took everywhere!
those were the days.

I have been thinking about this for a while and I think I remember mine being the Little People Barn/Farm playset. Both my Grandfathers and my father were farmers when I was a kid and that is the one toy that I remember getting very early on. I have one to this day that sits up high in one of my rooms and reminds me of the good old days.

I don't know my first toy, but here is a very early memory. My Super Powers Superman's arm broke off. My dad tried to fix it, but was unable. He went to the store to buy me a new one, but couldn't find one. He came home with a Secret Wars Spider-man and Captain America. I was a little upset that I didn't have a Superman, but was more than happy with my 2 new toys.
