Anybody else into these grab bags of Lego figures you can find all around? Lego has really stepped up their game with some creative new looks and getting a lot of main stream brands. I've recently picked up interest in Lego figures and am having some fun looking for certain figures from Series 1 to 4. There are ways of finding out who is in the bag by codes or dot designs just in case you didn't know this.

Be sure to check your Targets cause I found all of the Prince of Persia stuff on clearance. It also looks like they are about to put the Harry Potter stuff on clearance cause I've seen a few with clearance tags.

Saw Series 5 at TRU and hopefully they hit the cheaper retail stores soon enough (TRU price 3.49). Looking forward to getting multiples of the Gladiator and Evil Dwarf figures.

Thanks for the link, I knew there was a way to tell which figures you where getting but I didn't know what it was. This line is really developing for me. I thought previous series only had one or two awesome figures but this Series 5 has at least four that I want.

Good to hear I've got to remember to pick up a few more of the Gladiator and Evil Dwarf before this series is out of retail.

I went to a Lego store and bought a bunch of figures they had discounted but when I got home and opened them I found out they are glued to magnets. Why would Lego glue their figures to magnets??? I was told by the store clerk that if you boil them then they will come off the magnets so I'll likely try this trick later when I get a chance. I also bought some Star War keychain figures which I'll likely try a trick to get the keychain off them as well. Their store is worth checking out for some good deals if you collect these figures.

Found series 7 today, thought my toyrun wasn't going to bear fruit today but I got Tarzan, Little Red Riding Hood, Neptune, and Aztec Warrior. I think I'm done with this wave. Although I might still pick up the Stunt Rider and Knight figures. All in all a legit wave, although if Lego wants to have holiday themed mini-figures they should do a better job with retailers getting them out before the holidays they represent have passed. Not much interested in a man in a bunny suit after Easter.

I am not trying to slam lego or anything as I have always liked their minifigs but I'm wondering when will it all stop? There is a fine line between making a variety of figures and preying on collectors' compulsion to collect. The marketing is rather brilliant as you are getting a figure for under $2.00 but would you pay $40 dollars for 20 figs or even $30? I just think that they are taking advantage a little bit these days by giving the buyer less and less lego for their money. The sets are really fluffed out packaging-wise and if you scale down the picture on the front of the box you are getting a pretty rinky-dink set for good money. I just think that lego could give a little bit more plastic for the money. I think 99 cents or even less for 5 cents worth of petrochemicals on the blind grabs would be more reasonable but on the other hand the bins are always empty when I go to the store so I guess the general public doesn't seem to care.

I agree with you funky which is why I refuse to pay 10 bucks on the Ninjago figures. I just keep with the minifigure grab bags and only buy them where they sell at 3 bucks each.

I went to toys r us today looking for the Chris Redfield Minimate and found series 7! Mrjayberry I just read your post, or else I would have known. Anyways I was excited and just by feeling the packages I found an Evil Knight, an Aztec Warrior, and the Galaxy Patrol space guy. The 3 that I wanted I found in one try!

New mini-figures today, loving the Man-Bat/Bat Boy figure one of my favorites of the line so far. I also picked up a conquistador, the evil robot, and the deep sea diver.
Santa Clause? I know I complained about holdiay themed figures being a bit late but we still have two big holidays between now and Christmas.

I would pick up the aliens and space fighters but I told myself I was going to limit how many of these I bought so I'm mainly sticking to the historical warrirors/figures with a couple of exceptions I think are just to cool to pass up. Wish I would have cherry picked this line from the beginning.
