Mattel "Heroes in Action" knockoffs

Finally got back to working on my toy blog and here is a new entry I hoped you guys might enjoy.

It is from an unknown line of figures that are knockoffs of the Mattel military line "Heroes in Action" from the mid 1970's. Does anyone know the official name of these guys?

Ok I cracked open one of my toy archive books and on the first page a figure that looks identical to these knock off figures is in it . The ones in the book says they are call "Action Heroes" they came out in 85-86 made by Early Light and were sold at Woolworth there were 3 lines under the lable Action Heroes the first looks similar to Star Wars or the UK Action Force figures the other 2 are identical to the figures you show one in the green and the other in a tan camo outfit
They only odd thing is that the pics in the book dont show these figures as coming with a base like the ones you have on your site
I will try to get a scan of them in the book and post it

Sweet! Thanks for the pic. Those are them without the bases. What a cool line. Need to find those as well.
