I thought they could use a thread here too and do have a question, was the Movie Edition Ryu ever out in retail? I've only seen this figure in a pic and really wonder if he even exist to collectors?

Thats the blue Ryu?? If so I have seen him on card here in Canada, a buddy sold his and it went for 600 bucks or something on ebay while all the other went for less than 5 bucks each, and some did not even sell.

I don't think he was blue just white like the first but a different mold. Anyone know how many variants there were of Ryu? I'm thinking 3 with the original in white then a grey and the movie edition.

On the blue ryu question I think it was a figure that was going to be released but ended up being pulled when the line fizzled out.

A friend i grew up with mother died. While visiting my folks my buddy said go to her house and raid the portable building out back i could have whatever toys i wanted. So i go. So i found out from the neighbors that his sister went 2 months earlier and took the building and just dumped the toys in the backyard . So under some yearbooks that the evening due ruined i find 2 jean claude van damme movie figures of guile in perfect condition on the card.

So under some yearbooks that the evening due ruined i find 2 jean claude van damme movie figures of guile in perfect condition on the card. Wow, nice find mate! Sure thing. I know these SF2 have many haters - but I love just how colourful, wacky and brawly they are. Some are a bit off but that ad some charms to it. And well, G.I.Joe being a bunch of military dude and ninjas, I think they fit in pretty well. Guile and E. Honda are my favorite, and having Jean-Claude Van Damme figure in 3 3/4" - perfectly in line with Cobra Commander, Sgt Slaughter and the other joes - is still something I doesn't quite grasp. Here some of mine, including 2 JCVD Guile from the movie: Night Recon Commando Nightfighter Guile (in black - at the left) and Mountain Assault Specialist Rock Trooper Guile (in camo with green rifle - bottom left). The E. Honda (the sumo wrestler in the center) is the movie version as well. The blue weapons begun to the first version (who had red face paint and blue clothes as in the game). Movie verson Honda originally had black weapons. I have since completed that tray

Oh, the wet suit version is also quite fun, along with the pet barracuda - I also have this one, just forgot to put it in there Yep, saddly Raul Julia passed away after the movie. He was 54. Here some excerpt from his wikipedia page:
