Just wondering if anyone is into Marvel Legends? Out of all the modern lines out there, this is one of the few that I may actually get into. Anyone collect the figures? Is there possibly an online checklist somewhere for the line?

I like em, but haven't started collecting them yet. The problem is, they are pricey to get all the back issued series.

I got about 20 or so, but I gave away my sentinel and galactus and dr strange. I just buy them for the hell of it. I wanna get a magneto and ghostrider. and Cant wait till power man and iron first are released. Also Loki looks pretty cool. I opened almost all of mine to get either the comics or the large figure peices. I still got a juggernaut bitch in the package.

I have officially given up on Marvel Legends. I have all but Toad and the Wal Mart Stealth Armor set. Boxed F4 varaint set and a loose set. Just gonna try to stick to vintage, maybe now I can drag myself away from working retail.

Yea, that is why I can't do Marvel Legends. They just keep coming. I'd run out of room so fast. But they are a sweet toy. I really like them. Just not enough room right now.

I bought the entire Galactus series just to get Galactus, but I got tired of them quickly. I don't need that much detail. And the more posed and detailed they come, the harder it is to move them into other poses. I like my figures simple. Doctor Strange is the only one I kind of miss. I really liked him. The rest were just okay. Bullseye was the absolute worst from that series.

For my part I just Thor as I felt on it at Hart.
For the rest, a bit like you all, I don't like that much articulation (to end up having the character unable to stand as they're too many joints) and the overly painted musculature. It work for modern heroes, but I prefer the plain paint job of older figure.

I have about a dozen now, including some customs, but no Hasbros yet. I haven't seen much of the second wave yet and I'll probably grab a new Thor if I see one.
Grabbed Hawkeye and an Ultimate me MOC for $10 each at a local comic shop's annual sale yesterday. I drew a lot of stares as I was rung out with a stack of about ten figures, a statue, and only one comic book.
Anybody collect the smaller Marvel Legends Showdown line? I've got a few of those, too. Punisher looks great w/ GI Joes.

My new Hasbro Thor arrived today. Fig is good but not great, paint looks, well, different than the Toybiz line. Fig stands out on the shelf because of this.

They've even cheapened the build-a-figs.
Previously, I'd find an arm or a leg, or some significant part to a figure I was never gonna finish. Thor came with Blob's head.... just his head. No neck joint, no shoulders, no man-teets. A simple, solid inch-and a half lump of plastic that's closer to my dogs' chew toys than my action figures. greedy bastards.

Yeah, they need to try to keep the BAF's to six pieces. Especially since they're so rinky dink and teeny weenie now.

Found the new Legendary Heroes Wave 2 yesterday: Darknss, Star (Freak Force), Stryker (Cyber Force), Ann Obrien (variant-monkeyman + obrien),Judge Death (Judge Dredd), + Marv (Sin City). BAF is Monkeyman.
Obrien's great, Marv's OK, not familiar with the other characters enough to care. Monkeyman is a really good BAF, even if he's shorter than PITT. Monkeyman even has an accessory: spectacles!
What's up Hasbro? When are your new legends shipping? Marvel's released two full waves and a set of 2 packs (I NEED CONAN); it's time for you boys to pull the death star shaped ball gag out and get to work!!!

The coolest thing is, is that the Mole Man is in scale finally!!!!
This is one of the few sets I will buy all of in the ML lines. They are already selling on Post here in NC and Walmart also I believe, now all I need are the Conan figures!

I grabbed some more since last post, I grabbed the two Punisher (comic and movie version) and Loki. Neat figure. But ostly, I just ordered the 12" Dr Doom and the Punisher, they look pretty neat. Saw it at the store, this scale really work well for such articulated figure.

Just when I’m about to give up on the 2ndary market ... Hasbro comes through & puts things in perspective for me 200$ (plus shipping) for 8 figures at 25$ (plus shipping) each fig I am now out of the collecting biz (for the most part ... will still collect what I can find with the utmost discretion) I just wish I could let Hasbro (and all the other toy companies) know they have gone too far I know with sales flagging and the action figure market dying they got to do something but +10$ a figure ... very dumb way to kill the industry any comments or insites? i will still be lurking around the forums & trading and what not .. hopefully something will come out that sparks me back ... ... but at what cost

I feel your pain BB. If it wasnt for customizing id be completely removed from the hobby. While i generally dont collect ML figures (not my scale) i *do* collect beast or monsters from this line as they fit in my collection. I didnt have my eyes set on Foom personally but having him wouldnt have hurt. Who wouldnt want a huge reptile ? But $200 for the case plus shipping. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight......
And to add insult to injury theres far to much "Hulk" in that wave.
SO the question is...at what price will Foom parts (loose) start at on the secondary market?

I have noticed similarities to that in the WWE toylines. You can get them for (between) $5 and $12 at various stores but from WWE's own website they run between $20 and $25. When will the powers that be realise that fans and collector's are the ones buying your stuff and shouldn't be made to pay more in one place than another. Lower the pricesor slow down how much is produced. It never ceases to amaze me how many "Series" of figures are churned out each year for varous toy lines. Slow it down and give the collectors and fans time to buy them instead of one series disapperaing for another to show up. Greed is awful when it comes to collector's money, dont churn out too many too quickly cos some collector's can't keep up (financially)

Hey, I just got back into Marvel Legends recently. I got the Marvel bug again after playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance on the PS3. I was on facebook that night and talking about the game, when I got talking to my friend Jamie. He mentioned he'd fell out of favour with Marvel and had always been a DC man at heart and was interested in selling off what he had. So i jumped in feet first and bagged myself all his Marvel figures. I saw this as an Ideal opprtunity it getting myself some of the bigger BAFs as well as scoring myself some awesome characters. I've always liked Planet Hulk. I also like Beta Ray Bill and the Fantastic 4 as well as Doctor Doom. Of the figures I got from him, I decided to keep these for my collection. Some of the figures I didn't want to keep, I have to be really selective as for the amount of figures I have, I already have a sizeable Street Fighter collection and I am restricted to space on how much I can keep. So the others I plan to sell on, in the hope i can pick up the other characters I have on my wanted list. All these arrived just before christmas. So even though I didnt officially get any toys bought for me by my stubborn family, I didn't miss out on some fun before Christmas day Here is a quick list of who I got into my collection: Planet Hulk, Spider-Hulk, House of M Iron Man, Ultimate Captain America, Captain Britain, Captain Mar-Vell, Thanos, Psylocke, Longshot, Colossus, Apocalypse BAF, Galactus BAF,Sentinel BAF, Blade, Moon Knight, Power Man, Falcon, Human Torch Human Torch (partial flame), Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, The Thing (box set version) Doctor Doom, HERBIE, Franklin Richards, Super Skrull, Super Skrull (invisible variant) Ant Man, Beta Ray Bill (♥), Sasquatch, Impossible Man, Xorn, Baron Zemo, Silver Centurion Iron Man, Archangel, Mojo BAF.
