Has anyone out there ever seen any of these mystical items. I mean actually seen them up close and personal, not just the usual pics we have all seen. The mad bubbler, Feliner, Thunderstrike, Lizzor, Red Eye, and the two Berserkers do they even exist as prototypes somewhere, or are they just pics in catalogs. Please help, as I just want to know if they exist (and how many would actually have been made, or tested or really anything on them) any info on them would be helpful.
Thanks

As far as the Mad Bubbler, theres a guy who suposedly has a prototype, but doesn't want to put out pictures so people won't keep asking him to sell it. I have also heard of a Feliner prototype that was sold awhile ago. Don't think anyone has any actual pics of these though. Mannyscollectibles on these forums knows quite a bit more about this stuff and may be able to help you out.

Don't think anyone has any actual pics of these though. If you go to www.virtualtoychest.com/thundercats/thundercats.html you will find great detailed pictures of the Feliner prototype. Much has been said and debated about the Bubbler, but non has been confirmed yet. I heard that it WAS released in very few numbers right before the line ended and only in Europe for some reason, and one has claimed to have sold the only existing protoype to a collector. And it wasn't your average eBay seller, but a quite respected TC dealer (will not name names) so it could be true I guess. What I believe now is that only a prototype were made, but if that one got sold I will have to see some evidence to believe. THUNDERCATS RULE!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the help. Those pics of the Feliner are awesome. That would have been a sweet toy had it ever been produced. its so big. Well thanks for the help as I have had my doubts about the existence of these toys (and if they did exist I expect that they would go for thousands of dollars). and I do have to agree with you Thundercats do indeed Rule.

Hope the pictures are HQ's! I quess you asked if it was a custom figure. I've seen almost all figures custom made but never the Bubbler. Could be sweet.

Haven't asked him if it was a custom yet, i will wait until i see a picture of it. I have seen 1 custom Bubbler on Ebay which was packed in a box with a celophane window. You could tell it was a custom right from the picture though.

I've been thru this alley before of tracking down who if theres anyone out there that has a prototype of the bubbler. hollywoodheroes.com supposedly sold 2 one red one yellow for a few thousands each. Thats all the info i got they even went to give me the lame excuse that the owner did not want to put out pictures because he would get requests to sell. When i requested pics multiple times and i mean multiple times the owner at that company blew me completely off with unanswered emails and empty promises. Im not even sure what to even believe anymore concerning the bubbler

Wow. A bubbler MOC that is amazing. Hopefully its not just a reproduction. I have a hard time believing that that figure with as rare as it is would still be MOC though. I will believe it when I see it I suppose. Hopefully that guy will come through with the pics and you can post them.

Guys we at Thundercats Lair can finally say that one of our sources (through a long standing client) has sent a picture of a working Mad Bubbler. Come over and discuss the find at www.thundercatslair.org/forums

They are brokers of hard to find toys and prototypes. Im not sure what their contact list is but i can tell you that Hollywood Heroes is legit in anything they sell. I know because i have bought many pieces from them. They are posting in other places as well to gather more exposure.
Their job is to broker collections from former employees, not much different than a high end auction house. I have maintained contact with HH for quite some time and if it wasnt for them many of the pieces in private collections would ever see the light of day.
How many years did it take for a Mad Bubbler prototype to surface and even more so an actual working prototype with the bubble action....25 years?

Don't get me wrong I know they are legit but all I'm saying is that lately they are around alot of sites with stuff they found..Now it that tio spark intrest in maybe having people bid on those items later? Who knows...I just found it funny that this is like the 6th or 7th site that they are on with different items they found all of a sudden..

They have had LJN employee contacts for a few years. I remember talking to the owner of HH back when i started collecting Thundercats in 04' and he told me of a couple of sales they brokered but were not allowed to give any info on the people who purchased the two Mad Bubblers. He gave me just a bit of info and could not provide me pictures because they were bound by a confidentiality agreement. This is not uncommon for HH to all of a sudden have a lot of pieces on the market. Back in December 08 they had a huge collection go on the auction block, most items coming from Kevin Mowrer who was a lead designer of the line.
My best guess on why they all of a sudden have these pieces available is that most of the time former employees do not want to sell so it may take a while before a former employee contacts them to sell their pieces.
Its not that they found them all of a sudden, its the fact that one of their contacts is now willing to sell. Either way seeing just a picture of an actual Mad Bubbler is unprecedented

For those interested we have set up a thread at ThundercatsLair to post questions for Hollywood Heores client, who was I believe a lead designer on the toy line. Believe me guys the rest of the stuff that is coming is simply out of this world The Q&A thread can be found here: thundercatslair.org/forums/showthread.php?p=30585#post30585

So glad i'm not a Thundercats fan right now- I suspect the more hardcore ones will be looking at 2nd mortgages on homes atm. Looks like HH will be an interesting company to deal with. I suspect that there'll be a fair bit more "arm twisting" in the next couple of months, as realistically, they're not going to maximise their profits by selling to one buyer- well unless it's to the likes of Seth Green

There are some pics of the luna tacker www.virtualtoychest.com/t/thundercats/thundercats.htmlIn the interest of full disclosure I run the site. It is truly a shame that so few pics of these toys have come to light in the past quarter century. It is my understanding that some of the other tcats prototypes have been destroyed in recent times. Thus it is very important to document them. (the same goes for prototypes from other series)
