Hello, I have had this since my brother was little. I think it might be like a dollar store power rangers knockoff. It had a bunch of armor that snapped on and off (the only piece that is left is the back plate). The weapons had bumps that hooked right into the arms via covers that locked them in place. I believe that it had one other accessory besides the gun. It is painted in a sort of metallic chrome, (sort of like Silverhawks). The figure is about 7-8inches tall and has more articulation than most 80s figs. The only markings on it are an L and R on the bottom feet L on the left and R on the right. These came in a few colors such as green, pink and black. I'm looking to get a few more of these as I think they look kind of cool. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks again Matt

Hmm..they look a lot like some figures I have lying around. They look like the same molds, but mine don't have the chrome.
Mine look like they're from some kind of Power Rangers/ Sentai line. They looked some kind of police force maybe?? I think they were made in the late 80's(88?) and marked Toho.
I have 3 of them. They are very well made, super poseable, and come with loads of accessories.
I've always though they were great figs, but have had zero luck finding any info on them.
I'll try to dig them out and post some pics.

Thanks Gort, but they are defintely not the Godzilla figs. I'd say they are a good 7"ish and they look like they are the same exact mold as the chrome fig Matt posted. Maybe they're even the original mold the chrome fig knocked off? I'll post some pics later today, maybe that can shed some light on all of this. What they are exactly, has been driving me crazy for a while

thanks for the help guys. I would be interested in seeing the pics robomonkey, that way it might help figure out what toy line this guy was knocked off of.

Woo-who!!! Killing time at work, I fianlly figured out what my guys were. They are from ZAP POLICE POWER FORCE. Here's a link to some history and pictures.... www.mastercollector.com/articles/reviews/review121505.htmAs for Matt's figs, I assume they are knock offs of the Zap guys. These figures are awesome and I really wished they caught on a bit better. The detail, articulation, and accessories were some of the best of what I've seen for the time period. The chrome ones remind me of super-sized Microman figs.

wow thanks for the link. I think that my fig must have been a zap police knockoff. They look too similiar. I guess I was sort of right by thinking that it was a power rangers knockoff. Now we need the name of the line Thanks for all the help

I've had that Blazord figure for the longest time and it always bugged me that I never found out what line it was from. Thanks for putting up that link, robomonkey!
I also have an astronaut that's the same scale & style. Now I have hope for that one!

That Blazord figure is pretty cool Both Toho and Trendmasters have links with Godzilla, but I can't get any closer to the ID on the metalic guys following that route

I've found some more Zap Police info, and a little on what looks like it could be the line Matt's figure is from here: visibleinnards.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=95It's a blue version but it looks as though it could be the same? Still no name though

Thanks for the help. The chrome blue guy does look like mine. Im going to see about picking some up (one of the guys in the forum said they had some for sale). The original version of these figs are awesome, I love the little suitcases. This would be a very sweet line to get into, but I feel it would be hard as heck to complete it because it is so obsceure.

Finally got hold of some Zap Police figures in a job lot ;D Zortron is a little beaten up (although he stands fine, I just thought the pose illustrated the articulation) but Spectron and Blazord are fairly good. Missing most of the accessoires but they're still pretty damn cool. Now, if I can just find one of the chrome knock-offs...

Matt, that sounds like a great lot, I hope it works out. I'd love to see pictures when you get them. I got lucky with these, I was searching power rangers job lots for Superhuman Samurai figures and found a lot with a Servo figure and the 3 Zap guys. No way I was loosing that auction

Thanks everybody who contributed to this thread. I managed to track down a few of the chrome figs and then some of the figs that the knock offs (chrome) were made from. I actually have a set of chrome and a set of power force (if I understand correctly the power force are knock offs of a Japanese show) I have a accesory kit from the Japanese show. the chrome figs have generic toy line names like power robot and power bot. I picked up a lot of 10 complete figs (some moc, but all with packaging) and a Japanese accesory kit for 83 bucks shipped which I think is a tremendous deal. I have one loose incomplete power force fig coming in a lot (I bought the lot cause I thought the deal for these would fall through) if anyone is interested to purchase or trade. These figs are really neat they all come with sweet weapons and have awesome sculpts.

I have a Thai made Ultraman Tiga somewhere....technically speaking I'm not sure if it's a bootleg or not as the whole legal wrangling of the rights in Japan and Thailand left me confused...
There's also ALOT of KO stuff out there...really no brand or label kinda stuff...
