I've been rewatching the episodes that I can find on youtube, and I am constantly wondering why this show never got a toyline. It's excellent and simple, and definite re-useable parts and molds. ANyone know why there was no toyline made?

well i did a little asking around on a wing commander forum, and to answer my own thread, seems that playmates owned the license and was most likely prepared to produce figures in scale of the exo squad line. From what i can gather, i guess no one was interested in airing a second season of the show, which led to the 13 episode lifespan and playmates dropped their plans for a toyline bummer too, because i'd really be interested in AT LEAST seeing some prototypes to confirm the scale or the level of playability!

Impressive. The opening 2 minutes definitely have a Starcom feel . "Lion Warriors" for enemies? Sounds like a nice generic vehicle for prime time sci fi writing.

it certainly would not have been a difficult toyline to do. for the humans there are really only two vehicle molds that could have been done, and the characters themselves only really need a head swap to be made, same goes for the kilrathi(lion) warriors. kind of a shame really, considering some of the more obscure shows that got toys im suprised it never panned out
