Some neat little monster toys here, mainly just wanted to show 'em off. I don't know if they are rare, and never saw anything like these before. Won them in a lot on eBay. If you can I.D. them, fine, but I don't expect it. For all I know, they are just generic party favors, arcade prizes, or classic dime store junk-o toys.

Here's a close-up of the brown one...has weird humanoid heads, and what appears to be a finned turtle shell on his, her, its back. Made of solid yellow rubber about 6" long, with brown paint apps. Only marking is MADE IN HONG KONG.

Another close-up...this guy is solid pink with paint...hollowed out stomach. It's about 4" tall. Also has MADE IN HONG KONG stamped onto it.

Here's another view of the blue one. It's about 2" X 3 1/4", made of hard blue rubber with a splash of pink! Has a hollow bell and no markings. I've seen small-scale guys like this based off of the Imperial monster and dragon toys of the 80s...could this be one?

Here's another two-header I got a little while ago: Made of solid green rubber with brownish-red paint applications. About four inches tall...only markings seem to be the usual "MADE IN CHINA". I assuming he's some loose, generic monster, but if anyone knows if he's part of a proper toyline or part of a collection of similar creatures, then do tell!

Here's another cool one... Looks to be a copy or something of the black with reddish heads one I have often seen in the past...made by Imperial I think. This one has no manufacturer, though. Has a nice, working squeaker to boot! Hours of fun...move over rubber duckie!

Hey folks, I was curious about something. Does anyone know what these are? The auction description said they were marked "HS" and "Hong Kong". They look to be the size of MOTU mounts, perhaps wider.

Tee hee hee...I won those darn things! Can't wait to get 'em! Paid alot...which I kinda regret, but had sold a lot of stuff beforehand. Anyway...the bugs are supposed to be knock-offs of Rocks, Bugs, ans Things by Ideal Toys (from the 80s). The only time I ever saw or heard of these was at toyarchive.com years ago. I'll post some more pics as soon as I get 'em.

Very nice! Never heard of "Rocks, Bugs & Things" before but these boots seem way, way cooler. To me from the picture they seemed made of bendy rubber with hard rubber centers, as opposed to hard plastic of the original toy. Nice win man. Sorry about your high pay, I was the 2nd highest bidder.

this is a cool thread, i always liked two headed monsters even the most generic ones. i wish toy stores would bring back generic monsters to the toy isles.

Muckmonster, sadly I'll probably be keeping most of the lot...part of the reason I bid so much. The two-headed brontosaurus-like monster I already have, so he's definitely out. The Godzillas I have as well, but I may keep the bigger one as my original was the darker, more blackish version. The weird little creature...don't even know what that is...maybe a keeper? I'll probably round up a bunch of stuff and start a trade list...someday......

that'd be awesome if you started a trade list! besides the 2 bugs, the 2 headed brontosaurus was the main appeal for me.

I bid for the Remco dragon and the bugs, missed by 3 bucks.
