I have the following: 1- Kontory 2- Gaifand 3- Sharkoss (broken mechanism) 4- Kamaro (missing tongue) 5- Skitzo 6- King Raidy 7- One Jipp 8- One Mog 9- Old card of my Sharkoss (bought in 1986 with Skitzo, mog and weapons) 10- Mini-comic (came into Sharkoss-and-Skitzo card) But can anyone tell me how many of the pieces became sssooooooo rare and expensive? I would love to have the little terrapin Moc, the little Froggacuda, the great Antor and the funny SirCobra. But in the rare places where I see them, they are so expensive I can't afford them. I know this came from their rarity... but WHAT created this rarity anyway!!!

Moc, Antor and Yurus are expensive just because they are sooo hard to find. They were some of the last figures produced in the series and it seems that production quantities were very low on these. Boxed samples of Yurus and Antor (including the Battle for Red Lake set) still haven't really shown up anywhere (except for an empty Antor vs Skitzo box) and I have been watching for these guys for years.
BTW Billygalaxy, have ya got a close up pic of that Kamaro on the blister card?

So, their rarity was created by the fact that they were the last figures to be created... It figures, actually. In my childhood, I don't even remember seing Antor in stores. The only figures I saw in stores, were the giftpacks Kamaro-Raidy-Jipp and Sharkoss-Skitzo-Mog. I bought the Sharkoss pack for myself and my playmate got the Kamaro for his 1986 birthday. Still have the old card of my Sharkoss pack.

I had a few when I was a kid. Wish I had held onto them. Would love to get me a Froggacuda again!

I am terrified to start collecting these. I had a bunch when I was young. I am such a completest. I feel like this is line I could never complete.

I know what you mean Turnbolt, been working on this one for like 3-4 years now, am close but would love to see a Red Lake set pop-up on Ebay - at least just to see what weapons and such it all came with.

Well, I am not such a "completest", but I do easily get carried away when getting into something. For example, you all already know I'm a huge CREATURE fan (if you don'y know it yeat, check out my "favorite type of toys" poll). I own creature toys from many, many toy lines: Blackstar's Warlock (whole green version), Strar Wars' 1979 Taun-Taun and Dewback, She-Ra's crystal horses, Arrow, Storm, Clawdeen and Sea Harp, many Imperial monsters (1983 and 1984), Arco's Kontory, Sharkoss, Kamaro and Gaifand, MOTU's Battle Cat, Panthor, Stridor, KnightStalker and Zoar... but still, everytime I discover a vintage toyline with new creatures, WHAM! I want more. Creatures, creatures and more creatures. I'm litterally addicted to creatures...

So, from the looks of it the other world dragon I picked up today for .25 was a pretty good buy?

Gaifind the two headed dragon is one of the most comman figures, but definately a good buy for a quarter, especially if he has his collars, reigns, saddle & seatbelt strap.

I used to have the comic in english, it came on a little fold out leaflet with most of the sets. There was more of the story on the back of the castle box (sorry about the flash, old photo) Do you mean the micro-comic included with the toys? I never knew if it was a formal comic for the toyline. Can you scan or fotograph the toy boxarts with greater resolution? I remember well these toys (the arms went quickly brocken, the toys had an addictive smell, the swords and shields glow in the dark, and the castle was really cool). I think the toyline had a lot of potential, and had very good elements for a sword-and-sorcery toyline: dragons, flying creatures, heroes and princesses. It was somewhat original, the protagonist was a fallen king, Raidy, and he needed the help of Ronin the Hero and the Kreena Princess to free the Jipps. The P'ir Ankus was always mentioned, but no one can say what does it was, exactly. Beasts were wonderful: terror bird Kontory. Dragon Gaifand, reptilian beast Sharkoss and mutant lion Kamaro. Greetings.

I could scan the micro-comic if you wish. It was in the Sharkoss-Mog-Skitzo giftpack I bought back in 1986 (I know I'm repeating myself), and I still have it. Would you like me to scan it here for you, like I did for the Bone Age publicity catalogs a few months ago?

Do you mean the micro-comic included with the toys? I never knew if it was a formal comic for the toyline. Can you scan or fotograph the toy boxarts with greater resolution? I think there were a few different 'episodes' of the comic story, either as micro-comics packaged with carded figures and the playsets, or in some cases printed onto the box backs. Unfortunatley I no longer have the castle box to take a clearer photo.

That's exactly why I'm offering you to scan the micro-comic I have in this forum. It woudn't be that much trouble to me.

One of my earliest memories was my old man coming home one night and giving me Sir Cobra.
I loved the toy. He was my ultimate bad guy. He was the opposing force to my fisher price 3 3/4 good guys (whose main ally was a Iron Grenadier Annihilator figure...my worlds were a mixed bag.)
I would love to know more about The Other World. It was purely by accident that I eventually found out what toyline Sir Cobra came from. By the time I gave him away (with all my other toys, fool that I was) he had lost his tongue and his legs had gone all flacid.
I remember there was a comic or series of pictures on his box. I think the female good character encountered him...but I'm not sure.
Was he a good guy or a bad guy? Going by looks and disregarding the oft repeated lesson at the end of some He-man episodes, I'd say he was a baddie.

Thanks 10incher, sorry I guess I should have done a search and it was your figure guide that inspired me to do some research on the line.

Oh! Boy! Terrapin Moc is one of the rarest figures of all! Along with Antor. If you want the terrapin, you'll have to $$$.

Okay, I see there is still a pulse here.
I used to have about 75% of this line and several years back they found themselves at a garage sale! Now I'm more than a little nostalgic, and I find myself in need of at least the media from the line. Can anyone get me some good, clear scans/photos of the packaging and comics that came with the Other World sets? I don't expect anyone to open up MIB stuff, but any clear images would be most appreciated.

I have Antor and in good shape how much does he go for? Not below 85$ if he's bare. With equipment, he can go up to 125$.

Anyone able to help me with those scans/images? I would really appreciate it! If I had a wish list, it would be 1 clear, readable image from each comic plus the background art (that in high rez if possible). Heck, if someone could type in the text from those comics... just as good. Thanks again!
