Hi all. Just wanted to let you know I'm still around. I haven't been active on the collecting front but I did buy loose 4.5" Playmates Spock and McCoy figures to make "Bread And Circuses" customs. I just need to acquire a Kirk and two more Talosian figures for the arms. I am also planning on doing swords and shields for Spock and McCoy at some point. I still take a gander down the toy aisles every now and then.

You are always welcome to come and chat whether you collect or not. Have you kept your collection for the most part?

I do have plans to sell some of my collection off. I just sold some GI Joe items from around 2020 and I have sold and want to sell some more Megos. Just don't have the means to collect and I have a reduced desire to collect. I'm curious how the new 4.5" Playmates Star Trek line will go. I don't believe I have mentioned this here but I lost my Mom to covid in December so I am still grieving and trying to come to terms with it. I already had some mental health issues to deal with after covid and then that happened. On a brighter note I would probably buy the NECA Universal Monsters if I had the means and I found the first recent NECA King Kong in a bin sale for 99 cents. I will have to super glue one of his feet back on somehow but for that price I'll take it.

Most of us have been doing this too long to get rid of everything we like.

It looks from some of the collection photos I've seen that a lot of the collectors on here have large enough houses to showcase their collections. I'm keeping near and dear things to me like OT Star Wars and TOS Star Trek. Also can't part with my Crystar figures or Four Horseman Outer Space Men. I dropped $75 3 or 4 years ago to acquire "X", the only one I was missing from those Outer Space Men. I also have an idea of doing something with the Tosk figure from DS9 (I think) to make a Mego Rigellian from TMP line or something like it.

I know it is tough for me to keep going when I cannot find much of what I need.

I lost my Mom to covid in December so I am still grieving and trying to come to terms with it. Sorry to hear that bud, it really does suck. Lost my dad just over a year ago and my mom a few years before that, both to cancer. Kinda changes a guy.

I was just planning on buying some stands to display some figures and try to complete my Jada Toys 6 inch Universal Monsters collection when "bam!" I saw a familiar action figure packaging in the toy aisle of the Wal-Mart I work at. Namely, Super Powers. I don't keep up on toy news these days so it was a pretty decent shock to see Super Powers back in stores. In this case store, since these are Wal-Mart exclusives. I have the first four figures and normally I open everything but I plan on decorating my wall with these. I may buy some to open if I have the extra dough. I am planning on trying to get the vehicles. There is also two more figures coming, classic Flash and The Joker from Batman Who Laughs. I haven't read comics since about 1990 so I have no idea about this Joker figure but it's the least attractive Joker figure I've ever seen. This line coming back brought a small spark of joy to me after a rough year and a half. And I feel the prices are reasonable for this line, so far.

I really like the retro packaging. That's bang on trend nowadays!

I read numerous people have broken the Batplane cockpit immediately, bad design so beware of that.

I have got the new wave of Super Powers with Nightwing. Haven't been able to get a whole lot lately. I would kind of like to get the G.I. Joe retro 6 inchers. They are just gathering dust on the pegs right now. Probably nobody can afford them with the economy tanking right now. I ordered the three Twilight Zone Entertainment Earth exclusives, glow in the dark Jada Creature From The Black Lagoon Entertainment Earth exclusive, Jada Toys Bela Lugosi on stage Dracula, and the Reaction Vincent Price. That has been about all I could splurge on for a while. I also got the first three Playmates new Wrath Of Khan figures. Not sure what I think of the face sculpts so far. And a phaser. I had to get one of those darn phasers! I didn't see the Enterprise ship many times before that disappeared. Didn't have the money to get it when I saw it.

I have gotten a little more back into collecting than I have been over the past five years or so. I am focusing on the Indiana Jones Adventure Series, McFarlane Super Powers, the Star Wars Retro Collection as far as the OT figures, NECA Universal Monsters and D & D, and Playmates TOS Star Trek. It's been quite a while since I got literally shocked by a figure's release but a day or two ago I accidentally discovered that Hasbro released a new 6 inch Crystar The Crystal Warrior figure in the Marvel Legends line on Hasbro Pulse. That's one of those figures for me that you don't hesitate much to order. I think it would be cool if they made some of the other Crystar characters but I imagine that's a bit of a pipe dream but just Crystar getting made is awesome imo.

I do not buy as much as I used to, but it is exilerating to find something after a long layoff. Glad to hear you are getting back into it, Spockoda.
