With great sadness I have learned that one of our earliest members passed away yesterday. Rob "Meatybat" Roman had been struggling with health issues and passed away yesterday. His knowledge on wrestling and knock-off action figures was unsurpassed, rest well my brother!

Being a wrestling collector, I was awed by his collection and knowledge. He was involved in quite a few things besides wrestling figures and his knowledge of them was probably just as vast.
He had not been on for about 10 years and passed away at age 47.
RIP Meaty.

Aw, man. 47, that's way too young. Old schooler rock and ruler, he was a already massive asset to this site when I was just first logging in. RIP Meatybat.

Oh man, that's just awful. Rob was really one of the first guys to share his love for knock off figures and got pretty much ALL of the old gang hooked on 'em. I'm saddened to hear he passed away so young. I haven't spoken to him in ages, but I have good memories.

RIP Meatybat, sad news indeed! I met him once at the 2012 ComicCon in Philadelphia, he had his own table there, promoting his line of MOTU ko action figures. We talked a while and I took a picture of him at his stand. He truly was an impressive guy. Meaty is on the right of course.

The guy with him, I seem to remember, is another member who did a considerable number of posts in a small period of time before leaving, The Knock-Off Messiah, Isn't that right?

I think his user name was TKOM. It was fully spelled out and they referred to him as TKOM to save typing it out each time. I seem to remember to got mad at someone and just left completely. According to the roster, they both left about 10 years ago and still are in the top 10 of all time posts.

Rob was the most generous person I knew when it came to trades. He always sent extra surprises with any trade I'd done with him. He had a big personality and loved to talk for hours about toys, so knowledgeable. I have lost a brother and good friend. You will never be forgotten. The toy world has a void that will never be filled, RIP meaty, I'll miss you.

I know you have been on from time to time. Hope you can update how things are going for you after all these quiet years.
