Hey all, I wanted to share some pictures with you of a vintage 1984-1985 Masters of the Universe advertisement booklet that was handed out when the He-man toyline was at its peak. It had a raffle kids could participate in to win some prizes but above all, it had amazing photographs.
I recently bought one of these booklets in pristine condition. Paid eight euros for it, and considering its age and condition that was money well spent. These scans are not from my booklet, but it saves me from having to scan it myself and the pictures are well enough to share despite this one was ragged.
I don't know if this booklet was exclusive to the Netherlands or Europe or the pictures were used anywhere else. But I have always been in awe of how striking the photographer captured these figures in a simple but amazing background. I LOVE the atmosphere of these photos and these photos in particular have always inspired me to photograph my own figures in the best possible way. The MOTU line has always excelled in selling their figures with great artwork and advertisements and luckily, you can still find them and get that great nostalgic fantasy vibe back from them.
