My son is just getting into scooby doo and I found out about these lego-like scooby doo playsets put out by Character Building: www.character-online.com/products/Character-Building/Scooby-Doo/Has anyone seen these for sale in a store in the U.S.? It seems like these are available in the U.S. One website mentions U.S. mystery bags have a different assortment than the UK versions and toysrus.com has only the castle in stock. I'm thinking they may only be in smaller retailers. Or maybe they came and went?

I emailed the company and they said Toys R Us has the U.S. license. Guess where I'm going today?

I think I actually did notice those last time I was at a TRU which has been awhile. they looked pretty cool but it seems like they were a weird size if I recall correct?

Not sure about their scale, an eBay seller states they are 1.8" tall. That's smaller than I thought they were, but they're cool looking and my son loves Scooby and legos so...
Went to my TRU today. They had 1 castle playset and 3 pirate ships, but nothing else. They were both full price ~$50 even though they were next to clearance items. Had the manager look the products up in their computer and all the playsets state they are discontinued. They didn't have any of the mini figures in their system. Seems like they sold well if there's so little left and they never clearanced them. Weird. Sent another email to Character Building to clarify if they are still in production or not.
