I have been keeping an eye open for an auction with an entire collection. It would be nice to pick up all of these in one crack, since i don't currently own any.
One question I do have about the line, does anyone know what the difference is between the Redsun & Redlen figures? They look pretty similar to me. Maybe I have just seen pics on Ebay of the same figure, but it was mislabeled.

They are the same except for the color. They also did that on the rock guys too.

I take it one is more brown in color while one is more of an orange? Now thats cost cutting at its worst Kids aren't fooled that easily, what were they thinking that kids everywhere would be saying "Wow look the same guy but a different shade in color, I gotta have him too!" ;D

Yup....I wasn't fooled back then. I had one of each of the small figures (non variants).....never had any of the big ones. I still have a few. Green guy, Rock guy and Magnokor. I love this line and the show.

It looks like the 4 main human figures can be kinda tough to get ahold of complete. They last few Ebay auctions I have been watching ended up going for more than I thought they would.

So, I just picked up D-Compose on Ebay for 18 bucks!!! It was actually a lot of all 3 monsters, plus 2 of the smaller monsters, but the shipping would have killed me, and I didn't feel like relisting the other stuff, so I just had the lady ship me the D-Compose figure. After shipping, he only cost me 23 dollars total. I have seen them go for as much as 60!!! I"m pumped, completes my Inhumanoids collection now!! (I really need to move, so I can set up all this stuff)

Finally scored a set of the 4 human figures loose and complete for $41. the guys throwing in both vehicles for $15 plus the extra shipping. Now i only need the 3 big guys and 1 of the trees! You wouldn't believe how many auctions I lost trying to win that set of 4 complete over the last few years!

Did anyone see the interview Seibertron.com did with Richard Marcej? He worked for Hasbro in the 80's doing box for various Transformers, My Little Pony, etc. In the interview he says he has prototypes for the second series of toys, but he sold them. i treid to contact him, but to no avail. Anyone else know about this?

I have never heard of this! Were there any pictures of the proposed second series in any dealer catalogs at the time?

I don't know. That's what I was trying to find out. If you watch the cartoon I think you can get a pretty good idea of who some of the second series figures would have been. Nightcrawler, Blackthorn Shore, Sabre and Tank, but the impression I got was that there were going to be more monsters too. Anyone got any dealer catalogs from that year?

Those prototypes have been a sore spot for me for some time. The guy actually sold the protos on eBay back in late 90's early 00's, back when I was at college and out of collecting for a few years. The topic came up in e-mail conversation with someone one time and they told me about seeing them on eBay. Of course they didn't save pictures or remember anything about them. Just the fact that they had surfaced. So there's a collector out there with an awesome collection of Series 2 Inhumanoids but they're keeping quiet about them and not letting the rest of the world drool over them

That sucks. I'll never understand the mentality of people who hoarde that stuff and keep it away from collectors. We just want to see pictures. Did your friend give any indication of what was included or what they looked like? At this point I'd settle for just a description.

The guy I was chatting with didn't know much, I asked him questions and it was just basically "I saw them but..." I had bought a complete set of boxed/carded Super Naturals off him and he had a complete loose set of Inhumanoids he offered me. I already had a complete set so I didn't bother but we got into a quick chat about Inhumnaoids and that's when he brought it up. Basically about how he had been outbid on them...wish he had won them then I would have taken him up on the sale Where Marcej tells a little background info and gives this bit of insight to Inhumanoids: "There was a second year of Inhumanoids that was designed and had prototypes created for. But Inhumanoids will killed. I had started to paint the creatures for the second year's line. When it came time to drawing/illustrating the package characters, I would receive a prototype of the toy. Draw several angle, dynamic poses, then after approval, paint them. (remember this is back before MACs and Photoshop. Besides, I've always enjoyed actual painting. I worked in acrylic on cold press board. For my COPS illustrations I'd airbrush with Dr. Martin dyes.) Anyhow, I was painting a creature called SSSSLITHER for the second year Inhumanoids (he was a green, T-Rex like monster) when I got the word that the product was killed, so I just packed away in my cubicle, waiting for someone ain R&D come by to reclaim it. It was around the winter of 1988 and I knew that I'd be leaving Hasbro soon, so I didn't think nothing much of that prototype. In March of 1989 as I was packing up my cubicle getting ready to leave, I found SSSSLITHER as well as some other "killed" second year Inhumanoids----so........ I took them with me. Years later I decided to sell them on E-Bay. I found an avid Inhumanoids collector from Delaware who bought them all. So, at least I know they got a good home!" Now if we could only track down that dude from Delaware we'd be all set

I think this almost makes it worse. This was such a fascinating line with such huge potential. Imagine it done today..... So what kind of recourse do we as collectors have for finidng out more about this stuff? I need pics. Badly. Does anybody have screen caps from the cartoon? Specifically the last four episodes that were not on the Rhino release. Those might help.
