Forgive me if there is already a thread like this, but I thought it would be interesting to have a thread where people post pics of figures that are old but still on the pegs/shelf at a store somewhere. Here's my first inclusion: Avatar figures from 2009 and here it is 2014.

I don't have a pic but 2 months ago I walked into my local Walmart and they had just put out dozens of Avatar and Star Trek (from the first movie) figures. Everything was clearanced (barely) and looked case fresh. Another Walmart by my work has a Starting Lineup figure still sitting on the rack. I'll see if I can get pics this weekend.

A couple years ago at Walmart I saw a POTF2 walrus man from 1997 on the shelf with the Clone wars stuff. I think someone else had a story about this same figure. Maybe Walmart found a case of these guys and sent one to stores all over the country in 2012.
I also saw a cereal box from the 90's at the grocery store. Maybe the 2012 Apocalypse was just the return of the 90's, but no one noticed.

I know a store that the last time I noticed still had a Beetleborgs motorcycle-type vehicle copyrighted 1997 still on the shelves. I'll probably snatch a pic of it the next time I'm there if they still have it. I think things like this are kind of interesting . This store also used to have a Starting Lineup of Vladmir Guerreo in an Expos uniform from 1997 as well. If I find these items there I'll post pics here if I remember. UPDATE- I went to the store I was referring to yesterday. The Beetleborgs vehicle was gone and so was some GI Joe Sigma Six items they still had but I took pics of these older items: Butt Ugly Martians from 2001 Starting Lineup from 2001(I mistakenly said 1997) From 2004 Lanard's The Corps! from 2005 From 2006 From 2007 From 2008. I bought this one as it was only $3.99.

In 1991 or 1992 - sometime during my senior year of High School - I went into a local discount store and there were straight arm GI Joe figures (from 1982) hanging on the pegs. I should have snatched every one of them up (they were $2 each), but at that point in my life I was far more interested in other things than collecting action figures so I let them pass.
To the best of my memory, there were about ten figures hanging there that day. No Snake Eyes, but I do remember Scarlett, Short Fuze, Stalker, and Grunt. If I had spent the $20 that day, those ten figures would be worth around $3,000-4,000 today.....d'oh!

This isn't about a figure, but my wife and I traveled out of state in 2004 and on the way back home we stopped in a touristy gift shop/convenience store and they still had some sort of off brand diecast car that was copyrighted 1982 on the back of the card.

I have no pic but in 2010 I was at gordmans and they had a medusa figure from fantastic four line on the pegs in the clearance section. It was marked to $2, I believe she came out in 95-96.

In the 90's I was at an old toy shop in Hollywood. They had a lot of old store stock, but the one thing that stood out was the Star Wars knockoff "Star World" action figure case I had when I was a kid in the 70's.
