I loved Godzilla movies as a kid. Whenever they were on tv I just had to see them. Ok so the effects weren’t that great but somehow that didn’t matter, back in the day it was either stop motion or a rubber suit (or sticking bits to a lizard, but I had to draw the line somewhere) and with the rubber suit you got a lot more monster action. These days I collect a lot of toys from Japanese live action films and tv shows and in a good proportion of these the bad guys are normally some kind of giant monster (well ok, still some guy in a rubber monster suit). Everything from Godzilla to Ultraman to Super Sentai the theme is the same. Hence I collect Kaiju / guy in a rubber monster suit toys. I started out picking up a few enemies for my vinyl Ultraman collection, and I’d grab any Godzilla toy I saw, but it started to spread to Sentai and Superhuman Samurai. Now I’ll just pick up any Kaiju I like the look of and have now started to actively seek this stuff out. There’s a massive amount out there, mostly PVC/vinyl toys but also die-cast and hard plastic action figures and of course those two Jumbo Shoguns and some other big stuff. Some of the vintage toys can sell for big money but some newer toys can be had quite cheaply, and then there’s always the bootlegs ;D From what I can find there doesn’t appear to be any/many forums for this kind of thing (lots about the films/shows but not the toys, the only site I’ve found with a dedicated Kaiju toy section actively discourages talk of knock-offs, and that just won’t do at all). So anyone else? Godzilla fan? Collection of Sentai/Power Ranger villains? Ultraman?

I had at one point (and may still do but I wouldn't know where to look) an old TOHO Imperial Godzilla (with the moving arms and legs), an old Imperial King Kong (standing straight up - doesn't move), and this other monster that was green and had two heads (any help on his name / what he's from would be great). They were in my basement the last time I saw them (years and years ago), and may have been thrown out or burried in a box somewhere along the line.

Ah the good old Imperial Godzilla I have the six inch version from when I was a kid, and there were a couple of larger ones as well (about 9" and 13" if memory serves). Don't remember ever seeing Imperial Kong, if you ever find him I'd love to see a pic. The two headed guy could be from the Imperial Dragons line there's a couple of pics here (about half way down) actionfiguresca.proboards43.com/index.cgi?board=Cartoons&action=display&thread=1149322870
