Yep, it is still a relatively cheap line to collect. It was kind of funny how they used the mold from the Star Wars Ewok Village for the treehouse.

they also used the ewok battle wagon for the wagon in this line and the frier tuck body was a gamorean guard. I had a few of these as a kid, but never really collected the line. It is a really small line though with few rare figures.

Ya I always thought the recycled ewok village and battlewagon was pretty cool. I believe they cast them in a different colored plastic but other than that they were the same...
I figured since I love the movie and had the toys as a kid, it would be worth picking up the entire line. Especially since they're so inexpensive.
Were any from that line rare at all??
I decided to search today and bought 4 mint carded figures in like 5 minutes. I doubt finding the entire line will take very long..too bad! I like a good challenge!

Willow figures are not that hard to find and most can be picked up for a few dollars, the Eborsisk dragon runs about 20.00 but can be found for much less than that. There are three rare vehicles in the line that are next to impossible to find and will run several hundred dollars.
In the Robin hood line the Frier tuck is kind of hard to find and the Nottingham warrior is hard to find but none are really rare.

I bought a bag of carded Friar Tucks at a Flea Market a couple of years ago for $1 each. Some scalper probably went around buying all of them when he found out they were hard to find, and then found out that no one wanted them! lol!

When the Robin Hood line was first released Friar Tuck was definetly the hard one to find, he was only releases 1 per case and everyone grabbed them, now they're relatively easy to find.
The 2 figures that are actually more rare are the first run head sculpts from Longbow Robin hood and Crossbow Robin Hood. When the line first went to production Costner hadn't signed off on letting Kenner use his likeness so Kenner just used some generic looking head sculpt. Shortly after they started shipping though Kenner got approval and swapped heads. So that first run of the 2 figures with the non Costner heads are a little tough to find.
Also another little point of interest as far as the Robin Hood line goes. It wasn't just SW molds that they recycled. They also used a lot of old Super Powers molds for the bodies. Robin Hood and Azeem were Green Arrow, Sheriff was Lex Luthor, Dark Warrior and Little John were Hawkman and I think Will Scarlett was a Super Power as well but I don't remember who...
Good luck on the collection!

I picked up the entire line back in December. It comes to about $1.50 each. The Robin Hood figures in the lot were both the older first releases too, with the original head sculpts before they were re-released to look more like Kevin Costner. I actually really really like this entire line. It's a nice use of the Super Powers molds and they just look great on display (especially Little John and Will Scarlett, IMO).

Here's a picture of the same work in color: It's a shame these were never released. They look pretty cool. I'm especially diggin the colors they were going to use.

I love the Robin Hood figure in that color pic from the battle scene at the end of the movie with the red around his shoulders and staff in his hand.

That second line looks great.
I have the Battle Wagon boxed, carded Longbow Robin Hood, and every other figure except Friar Tuck loose.
The thing I love best about this line is that the bows actually fire the arrows, and pretty far too. A lawsuit waiting to happen.

The second line indeed look pretty cool, that Barbarian dude look impressive! For my part I also really like this line, I have it all carded, with some variant (Robin head sculpt) and I have it all loose and complete, except for Friar Tuck staff. I'm betting on one carded on E-Bay right now, luckily I'll get it for a small fee and will rob him if staff for my loose one. I don't usually open old carded figure, but heck, these are harder to come by loose than carded, they're plenty around and they're kinda cheap! I like those short action figure line, they're often not too expensive to get and make for good collector chase.

The second line does look pretty cool, i wonder if there are any protypes out there? I don't remember if Robin Hood tanked or not when the movie was first released (like Waterworld) resulting in the 2nd wave not being released. I do remember some controversy about Robin Hood not having an English accent though.

I do remember some controversy about Robin Hood not having an English accent though. If I remember it was one of the good blockbuster that year... Looking at Wikipedia article, it indeed did well (and Costner accent is also mentionned): I remember the word about the accent, and how it didn't bother me at all since I had to see the movie dubbed in french! Guess the second action figure line simply was to be out after the blockbuster buzz faded, like most movie figure.

The Friar Tuck was essentially the Gamorian Guard fro Star Wars and Will was made from Desad from the Super Powers line.

I picked up a boxed Battle Wagon at a yard sale a few weeks back. I guess instead of the cool skull on the original Ewok wagon they decided to replace it with the catapult. Still cool though.
