i am always looking out for lesser known toy series from the early 90s, especially monster and skateboard themed ones, so i got pretty stoked when i picked these up today at a flea market for a buck a piece. introducing...DARING DINOS ADVENTURERS!! first there's "Skateboard Actyl" then there's "Mummy-O-Saurus" The packages have one of the most ridiculous origin stories i've ever read: " Daring Dinos are mutant dinos that came to life when a mad scientist accidentally went back in time to the Jurassic Period and the monster period simultaneously when he pushed the wrong button on his time machine. He brought back dino/monster beings in his time machine to the 20th century. That is how we got Frankensaurus (Frankenstein monster), Vampire-A-Dactyl (vampire), and Mummy-O-Saurus (mummy). It just so happened, these guys came to like sports and so we have Skate-O-Saurus (skater), Skateboard Actyl (Skateboarder), and Baseball-A-Saurus (Baseball player). These guys are not harmful, they are just different and unique. They’re... Daring Dinos!" these were made in 1993 by Meritus industries inc. i think the card art is pretty awesome! i wouldn't mind finding Frankensaurus if anyone has one. I'm also always looking for other weird early 90s lines, like Slammers, Socket Poppers, Pocket Horrors, Creepy Zone, Snailiens, Battletoads, Spew Crew, Sungold MONSTER, Skateboard Smackups, etc!

I've seen these on ebay last month. I think the seller had 5 out of 6 of them. There were all around $3 a pop I think. I liked the monster versions more then the sport ones.

I managed to find the vampire brontosaurus thing at a flea market last year as well. The origin story is what sold me!
