Haven't seen much mention of these. Have got a bunch of them and used to have more.
Got rid of all my nazgul due to space limitations. I still have all the gandalfs. Always loved the look of gandalf especially all the different costumes they gave him.
They didn't seem to put as much detail into the rest of the series at least to make them really appealing looking.

I have the Belrog and Gandalf the white. At one time I did want to collect these but I just never saw enough of them in a lot at one time. Most of the time people have one and might want 8 or so bucks for a nice carded one but then shipping to Canada they want $20ish bucks making not worth the purchase...they are a nice set though.

I liked them when I used to see them in stores, but I wasn't too familiar with the books and this was before the movies came out. I wish I had bought the ones I liked, especially the Gimli

really? I had a gimli and didn't like it much. It just wasn't as detailed as the gandalfs. Maybe I just like wizards more, but the gimli to me seemed more painted on design than accessorized.
The Frodo was okay but I sold that too.
The balrogs were neat looking but too big I think.

I have most of the figures. I do like the line, thoughinstead of making so many variants of each figure, they should have made some of the lesser characters from the books instead. I guess its cheaper though to do repaints and just swap accessories around.

Yes and here is the bane of so many little figure runs...they make a bunch of repaints and scare everyone off. I like the idea of doing just a few figures all of which are easy to get and no stupid exclusives and what not...i think half of the figures for this run were repainted in a second version? look its baggins getting ready for tea, and the late for tea version...o and the just after tea version with half filled tea cup...what a cool variation!!!

HA! Hilarious! It IS funny how much they go into detail explaining exexactly what THAT particular character is doing. I have the "Here is Gandalf walking through Fangorn forest when he happens across his friends Aragorn, Gimli, and Legolas, but THIS Gandalf is not Gandalf the Grey but Gandlaf the White in disguise ...blahblahblah I actually have only seen: Gandalfs, Balrogs, Frodos, Gimilis. That's it.
