Figure collections people you know won't sell you

Anyone you know have childhood figure collections just stuffed away somewhere? They don't really collect the stuff but don'y want to part with it either?

I have a buddy who I finally got his Blackstar stuff a few years ago. He would never part with his Joes so I didn't even try. He still has some MOTU & Rambo stuff I wanted at the time, but he didn't want to part with it then (I got them now from other sources).

ive had problems where peole are like yeah i have that stuff i dont want it you can have it than back out. or be like my mom must have just trown the stuff out last weekend. i hate that . dont waste my time please

Yeah, I hate that to, they say you can have or buy them but are never able to find them or take the time for someone to come look at them.

Ever go to a garage/yard sale and ask if they have any action figures just to be told that they have boxes of them but are saving them for their grandchildren? I hear that one a lot.

That happens all the time , though once in awhile it does work out (usually once or twice a year) and I come home with a collection of figures

I just picked up another collection of various 70s & 80s figures from a guy for $135. Here is what I got:

Big Jim Tonto (looks complete)

Yeah, I was pretty stoked about the Death Star World as this is my first micro set. I also got a micro X-Wing and Cloud Car. I am keeping the Cloud Car but the X-Wing is for sale/trade. Pretty much everything else goes on my trade/sale list

A lady in my city ran an ad a few months ago that she was selling a Ghostbusters collection with the HQ and a bunch of figures. I must have emailed and called her a dozen times, and everytime I talk to her to come look at them, she says she is just going out. I have been trying to plan a day to stop by her place but when we do and I call, theres no answer.

I just don't understand why she even listed them for sale? She doesn't seem interested in hooking up to sell them at all. Man is that annoying.

I went to a garage sale, there was this guy and his 10 year old son running it. I noticed a big box and a garbage bag full of action figures. Mostly new stuff like Marvel Legends and WWE Classic. I asked him how much for the sentinel (no leg) and he said, "If you take all of them, then you can have them for free." I took them all lickedy split! When I got them home and went through them I realized he had given me all of his son's toys. I felt bad, but I would have felt worse If I hadn't taken them. At least they went to someone who is actually going to play with them. ~BP
