Mine would be to have a loose complete set of figures & vehicles from 82-88. There are certain other figures from 89 and up that I would like, but not to many. As for newer vehicles, they just take up to much space.

I have two main goals.
The first is to continually add new prototype and pre-production material to my collection and to continue working on the pre-prod runs i currently have.
The second is to complete a set of Cdn exclusive vehicles MIB. I have the Cobra Combat Set, Consumers Tank and a Cdn example of the Cobra Missile HQ and i'm currently looking for the MSV and Cdn versions of the SMS and CAT.
I'm also slowing working on a complete set of loose figs from 82-89 but i'm in no hurry to finish that one off as i still enjoy hunting locally for them.

My goal matches 10incher somewhat, in that my goal is a complete loose set from 1982 to 1988. I don't remember squat past '88, so I guess that was the year I officially stopped even caring about Joe. I don't want them complete either. No guns is fine by me. Although I am shooting for only minor paint loss. Oh, and if they had a pet, I have to have that too. So far I'm 43 figures into 196 and I have about 20-30 coming in that need o-ring replacement. It's the one toy line I have room for since I use single fig. snap cases and display them w/ a simple push pin on a section of one of my walls. Don't think I have room for all 196 though. But then again, my wallet doesn't have enough for all 196 anytime soon either.

My goals are pretty much the same 10incher. 82-88 plus expensive figs from later years such as the Convention Jinx (that I just got yesterday), Ninja Viper, and so forth.....i only need about 8 more from 88 to complete everything up to then, so im close. But im sure ill go on from there. lol

Find some international variants, like UK and Brazilian Tiger Force, Red Jackal, Red Laser, and of course, more Argen 7 figures.

Joes were my original toy obseession...lasted from age 8(straight arm Flash) into my early 20s when I shifted to more obscure US and some Japanese toy lines. I had sooo much in my original collection (Sears Missle Base- xmas 82, Terror Dome xmas 86, rattlerS, Red HissES) I don't think I could match it even if I dropped all my other collections.
Since I recently got back into Joes, I've had time to consider my goals for this collection.
1) Loose/complete set of 82series figs(swivel) and vehicles, after that the list is spotty through 93.
2) Crimson Guard Army(V1 or removable-helmet type)
3) Some of the foreign repaintsof the 82-83 figures(not sub-teams) and the AF APC. Some other oddities like India's Lime Green Beachhead, too. Tops among these is every version of 1983 Airborne. I have the US vers and the Argentine version, so I'm looking for the Mexican(light, light blue chest) version and the Brazilian Gatilho (python Patrol version).
4) A few of the mail order figs: Starduster, Steel Brigade V1 or V2, 'International Action Force', MANTA, parachute pack(s).

Definately want the 82 - 88 figures myself and I would also like to have an army of Crimson Guard figures maybe 25 or so at least, and an original Viper or even the new Viper Army of around 50 figures or so. Already sold all my large items such as Terror Drome and Air Carrier due to space.

My collection was from 82 to 90, I had over 700 figures and every vehicle, 97% of the collection was c9, .....Sadly I had to sell it all. but I finally have a good job and no female in my life LOL ,,so eventually I will recollect some choice figures,

My goals have changed so much through the years....first, I only wanted figures 1982-1988. Then came vehicles from that era. Then I added 1989-1991. Then filecards. Then 1992-1994. Then I got an entire 1982-1994 collection and started back in on MOC items. And of course, there are international variants to chase.
I have come to grips with the reality that I will never have a "full" collection - so many of the items I'm still missing are just too rare. However, I can be content that I have a complete figure collection from 1982-1994, a near-complete vehicle collection from that same era (the stuff I'm still missing is stuff I just don't care to chase down), and a pretty nice international collection with enough MOC/MOB items mixed in to add some flair.
My remaining goals are really just to complete my filecard collection, chase down the rest of the sub-teams (Python Patrol, Tiger Force, etc) figures MOC, and to continue to chase those last few international figures that are now "grails" for me.
Then of course, I have to find a way to get it all up on display.....which just may be the biggest chore of all.

Yea completing the terrordrome is a biggie. The dang doors and chairs break off so easy. I've got a little over half the collection from 82 to 94. My favs are the 84 line. Do the mortal combat dudes count? I only have 2 of those. I like their actions.

When I started collecting, I made two lists for every line I wanted to collect; A "Must have" and a "Want to have". My G.I. Joe "Must" list was originally comprised of stuff from '82-'87 (the final year I collected as a kid, and perhaps not coincidentally the year the line really began a hard shift into the silly IMO). I've made some decent progress in the last few years considering my focus is split between this, vintage Star Wars items (not just the toys), MOTU, 80s video games and a host of other 80s toys. As of now I have 32 loose, complete Joes (not including vehicle drivers), and a decent number of vehicles and such. I also have a few other ARAH Joe items. The metal lunchbox. Stuff like that. I still have a ways to go (with 23 more figures on my "must" list, and a dozen or so on my "Really want" list lol and quite a few vehicles), but I can see some light at the end of the tunnel.

I buy everything Joe I can find. My vintage collection (of figures) from 82 - 94 is complete but I'm still piecing together missing accessories. I'm also current on things that have been released since then, but care less about that stuff. Buying MOC when I find it cheap enough and foreign when I can. Joe is my main collection so it gets a good amount of my attention and $$$. Sorta funny, before opening the store, my original Storm Shadow was always missing his nunchucks. Now I have a baggie with three of them in there and I've even sold a few complete Storm Shadows in the last few months. Getting to cherry-pick toy lots is the best part of having the store. There's lots of other good reasons, but that's my favorite.
