So.....I ran into this line the other day and it seems fairly obscure and I thought I would put a line out to see if anyone else knew what it was or collected it. I just bought my first Item today...Stinger This are in the Style of MASK. I think they are pretty cool and the line isn't to vast to collect. Now if they would only ever come up for auction.

I have heard of them but never ran into any of the stuff. What year were they put out, sometimes in the late 80s?

yeah, these are pretty obscure, 1989-90. along w/ sky commanders, shadow strikers were the replacement for M.A.S.K. for kenner. if anyone has a shadow strikers MIB Dust Devil or Sandstorm i have duplicates of Hurricane, Phase 1 Converter, Smokescreen, Typhoon, & Stinger for trade. THANKS & check this website for pics of the toys www.virtualtoychest.com/shadowstrikers/shadowstrikers.html

I've been trying to collect these for a little while now. This is an awesome albeit very gimicky toyline. It appealed to me as a kid and it still appeals to me now!
I had Stinger and Hurricane as a kid. I've managed to track down the Phase I Convertor, Deviator, Typhoon, and Smokescreen in addition to my two childhood sets. Sandstorm, Mutator, and Dust Devil all appear to be the toughest sets to find, leading me to believe that they were all part of a second wave of items released.
Tinkerbeee has a whole bunch of the Phase I Convertor and Deviator sets. That's who I got mine from! You might want to shoot him a message and see if he still has any left.

Do the figures knees bend like MASK ones did and are they the same size as MASK figures?

These look kind of interesting. Can anyone explain the " PHASE OUT so-and-so can't be seen in battle" part of the box graphics? Do the figures change in some way?

I always loved color changing stuff, from the dreadnocks sunlight stuff to micro machines and matchboxes that changed in water to the hello kitty bath toys (I know kind of sissy but I loved those toys lol). These just got way more awesome in my eyes. Thanks for the pic toyworks . I'm totally jazzed up about these. If any of you guys that own these feel ambitious maybe we could see some demo pics? No pressure of course .

Didn't you say that's why you didn't like Sky Commanders? Just because they're called Shadow Strikers doesn't mean you have to have them playing football (soccer) with each other . If you must know though, they do NOT bend at the knees, I looked it up. Cheers, -FT

No pressure of course . My pleasure. ;D I seem to recall getting the missile from the Deviator launcher in a lot many moons ago. Probably wouldnt be as cool to see as one of the figures but if i can find it ill post some color-changing action pix.

Cheers, -FT To paraphrase Dr Smith in Lost In Space (the movie that is).... Oh William, the pain, the pain My anxiety and long un-answered curiousity has been answered...My quest finally over. I actually am typing this with tears in my eyes....Oh the joy! ;D To have said question answered.... Anyhow, thats a bit shit isn't it of Kenner - crap toy figures for cool concepts like the sky commanders and then this line, and then they did VORTEX which was essentially MASK all over again....Kenner was synonimous with making crap unarticulated toys..during the 80s. When I saw the Green Lantern toys for the movie I had a wave of crap nostalgia as all they needed on the packaging was the old Kenner brand logo and they'd fit in perfectly with crap un articulated Kenner of the 80s....lol. Mind you, MASK and Super Powers at least had bendy knees.
