has anyone else noticed that the hugely knock off gi joe figures the corps have suddenly gone from lame ass to - cool
theyve gone from amorphous potatoe headed generic freaks to well sculpted articulated - decent toys - what gives?
crap to cool overnight

Could not disagree more. I loved the old corps figures like Gunner O'Grady, Fox, and Bengali.

I have to disagree too. The old oring figures were cool, I have picked up a few of these new ones for my kids and in my opinion are vastly inferior to the vintage ones.

The new Lanard offerings are a "give and take" if you will. The new figures are CLEARLY superior in sculpt and aesthetic value. There is no denying the new figures look good. Unfortunately the lack of o-ring (or more specifically ball jointed hips) immediately takes the line a step back.
If i had to choose i'd choose the old gi joe style knock offs as i HATE t-crotch figures. On the other hand if Lanard added the o-ring to the current crop of figures they sell i guarantee they would give Hasbro a run for their money in the 1:18th department. Walmart loves the Corps and they are always on the shelves.
