Yesterday I found the 3-pack of Moral Kombat Klassic figures by Jazwares at TRU for 19.99 each. I haven't opened the box yet but so far I like what I see with the quality of the molds. The 3-pack comes with Cyrax, Sektor, and Smoke which are all the same mold just in different colors. I believe this company will also offer 6 variants of the Ninjas in Mortal Kombat which is the same deal of the same Ninja mold just in different colors. I hope to find those soon!

Well yesterday I found the 6-pack of Ninjas at TRU for the price of 34.99 each and bought one. The bad news is these figures aren't of a so great quality either, as soon as I pulled out the Reptile figure out of the package his arm fell off and it doesn't look to want to snap back in. On most of the figures I slowly moved the joints to get rid of paint in the rotation parts of the arms but I was careful with the legs cause they too look like they will just fall off if I messed with them long enough. Overall I really like the molds but it's a shame that these figures seem to be constructed cheaply at the joints. Me being a hardcore Ninja fan I will buy more but I am disappointed on how easily they just fall apart. I also found the variants of the 6" figures of Sub Zero and Scorpion in 4" molds but passed because the TRU that I went to wanted 10.99 each and I know that at the other I can likely find them for 9.99 and save me a couple of bucks. I'll bet that their construction also is as poorly as these but I can't pass up great Ninja molds.

Yikes! How is it that toys from the 80's can still be in great shape, but modern toys barely make it out of the package without problems? You would think that with strict safety laws toys would be bullet proof.

Maybe they've slapped an adult collectors disclaimer somewhere on the package. I couldn't help but notice Toy r Us had some Southpark minis that had a warning about being for 18+. I certainly don't want the kids watching the show but the toys where totally inoffensive.

very disappointing to read that the quality of the toys aren't good. i REALLY was excited when i saw the pictures in that link you posted. Never was a fan of the game much, or any 1 on 1 fighting game without any real story behind it, but the characters, like in street fighter, have always looked interesting and cool. if i can pick these up in a clearance bin a few months down the road, i may look past the poor quality. that seems to be a major problem with many toys these days. i blame it on McFarlane and the high-detail world of collectible figures. For some reason that escapes me, i collected a bit of McFarlane when i was back in high school. as lame as those toys appeal to me now, i am thankful for them, opening up the world of toy collecting to me. anyways, to make this tangent relavent, for years i kept them all moc. but as a warped into a loose collector, i tore them open. a HUGE percentage of figures ended up breaking or having limbs fall off just from the process of removing them from the package!
i am glad to see that it appears that these MK4 figures don't have weapons. another downfall of cheaply constructed toys tends to be that the weapons don't fit right in the grasps of the figures. which i find interesting and funny about vintage stuff like mattel's flash gordon figures, but for new stuff that retails so high, it should not be an issue!

jazwares is horrible quality... my kid has saved up money and spent lots on jazwars sonic the hedgehog stuff, about 50% of it is broken. Hes 11, hes really not into abusing toys, he likes to collect them and they sit on a shelf, like he sees me do with my stuff.. All he does is change the poses once in a while, and they break. the joins are so poor.. its rediculous how much $$$ they charge, for the piss poor quality... Id stay clear of any jazwares stuff, especially if its loose.

They make the new Adventure Time toys, I will surely rue the day that my 10" Finn falls off the shelf and shatters like Humpty Dumpty.

It is funny that these figures break so easily when a free mcdonalds toy can be run over by a car and still be play-able.

Some good news I found some of the single carded figures now at TJ Maxx. It's good to see these now at the discount stores instead of hanging at TRU for 9.99 each.

Mortal Kombat figures are really bad, who ever designed these must of been a trainee or some guy off the street.

Today I found a 6" Shao Kahn at TRU which may be new to the line but I'm not certain. I did see a Goro picture in the back of the card but not the figure so I'm hopeful of finding that one soon. I did buy the figure and really it doesn't look so great in particular the face just mold looks crooked but I'm a fan of Ninja stuff and had to get at least one of these. Anyone like the 6" Mortal Kombat line around here?

I got the Shao Kahn Arena yesterday but I have not opened it yet and am not sure if I will till I know it's not so limited. Overall it had a price tag of 38 dollars not including tax and let me tell you with this package only coming with a throne, one figure, and some pillars it just doesn't look worth the price. At least two more figures should have been added to this playset to merit having that kind of price tag.

That throne looks so badass though. It is debateable whether or not $38 is too much. I guess I wouldn't complain if it was $30.00. I will be thinking about getting one.

I wonder how far they will take the figure line. It'd be awesome to have all of the characters. I'd love to get Baraka and Kabal...and obviously all the ninjas.

Saw the new Jax and Nightwolf figures at TRU in 6" versions and only found one of the new 4" Nightwolf figure which I bought. I think TRU charges way too much at 16.99 per 6" figure and I'll try to wait and find them cheaper somewhere else. I have found these figures at TJMaxx in much cheaper prices but not the new stuff.
