i kinda started collecting these by mistake (also happened with starriors) where i had one or two lying around from years past and didnt really remember what it was to. after some failed reseach on the net i kinded figured out they were part of a mircoman line from takara also still marked; but it was when i stumbled across robotech robolinks. so i guess revell got the american rights to the toy and marketed it as part of robotech...weird but still these were and are pretty cool toys. kinda like lego but kinda like transformers. they plug together as many as you want and with some other random parts you can make a giant robot and a spaceship and a car and a whatchamacallit! but noone ive come across knows anything like alone gives a care. so ive been finding pieces and robots randomly in odd end boxes at conventions. and i was wonding if anybody else had love for this misfit toy?

They remind me of another line I've been looking for info on called Flexibots. I believe they were very similar in that you could interchange parts to create new vehicles/robots.

The only pic I've ever found is in the 85 JC Penneys Christmas catalog. I'll scan it and try to have it up by today.

Yep, Robolinks is one of the many lines I don't actually seek out, but do hold onto them whenever I come across a figure, set or part.

Robolinks were licensed by Revell from Takara and originally come from the Japanese Blockman toyline: microforever.com/blockmanindex.htm which is a spin-off of Pre-Transformers Microman (aka Micronauts when licensed to Mego in the 70's) and Diaclone. They are designed to be interchangeable with other Takara toylines.
