Just got these today! This pic has 2 of my White Whales I've been trying to buy for years now, a carded Cavefisher and the Legend of Zelda Link wind up. 2 more of my white whales captured! The small ding on the right hand side is really the only bad spot, and the bubble is not nearly as yellow as it looks. The card itself is a yellow design behind and around the Cave Fisher, so it makes it look more yellowed. Only paid $99 for the carded Cave Fisher and bought the Link in a small lot of windups that went for $20. He works perfect and is like new. I might sell my loose Cave Fisher to recoup the money I spent on this, not sure yet.

That's it. I've seen one carded Pernicorn that was a prototype on the net. I talked to the dude who owned it, I don't want to blow up his business, but he got a LOT for it. I've heard of a loose pernicorn turning up. Never heard of a Terrasque being found. I've seen a graded, carded Cave Fisher that was a 75/80/75 listed for $1,200. Here's a page that shows em all: www.toyarchive.com/Dungeons&Dragons/WindUpCaveFisher1.html

I've seen one in about the same condition as mine listed for $500 or so on Ebay, but I don't know if it sold. I saw one on a somewhat beat up card with the lower jaw dis-attached sell for $250, mines nicer than that one.

Great pick up. I saw that $99 buy it now too. Great deal! Glad to see it went to such a deserving collection. He'll have plenty of other wind ups to frolic with.

haha, definitely! Plus I'm slowly amassing an AD&D collection (among all the other stuff I collect. Thinking about selling off some of my JLU, Marvel U and SHS stuff and picking up some more vintage AD&D ). I'm off to a good star, I have most of the bendy creatures, a few figures and not one but TWO Cave fishers, one carded and one loose.!

It must be worth a great value. The DD chimera, loose, is never under 15$ on Ebay. So, imagine a carded piece! Cool!

Oh yeah, this is MUCH rarer than any of the bendy monsters. I saw a loose one go for $85, only loose one I've seen sell so far.

Yeah, that was called the Pernicorn, but apparently it was never released. There's only 1 carded one known to exist, probably a prototype, and it sold for around $7K. There's a 3rd one also shown on the packaging that has never been found in the wild, a red dude called a Terrasque that either did backflips or hopped, nobody knows which.

I picked up a carded AD&D Cave Fisher at an 'antique' store about a year ago for less than $5. I didn't think much of it since I am not a big action figure collector, my interest was the AD&D part of it. Anyways, I finally decided to look up the value and have seen some vary dramatic differences in pricing. I figured a collector's group would know more about it than myself. Just so you know, I'm not trying to get someone to buy it, I am just looking to find out the value in case its something I should be insuring. The card is in okay condition. No tears, some bending, edges wearing, sticker (which may or may not be able to come off) The adhesive is still pretty good only 1/2" appears to be starting to seperate.

Awesome find man! That's easily one of the rarest pieces from that line and that era. I'd say, recently it looks like they go for 200 dollars loose. I'd have no idea on a carded example. You won't get too many buyers when you go too high, but maybe 400 for a carded one? That's what I'd think. Great find man, it's good to see some of these still in existence.

Yeah, that was my loose one that sold for $200. I didn't want to part with it, but something came up and I needed cash. I still have my carded one. I have seen them sell for $350-500, so yeah, $400 is a good estimate. (I saw a graded on listed for like $1200, I know it sold but don't know for how much. It was graded an 80 if I remember correctly. ) It depends alot on the card condition obviously, but it's the rarest AD&D figure/toy ever produced and sold in stores. That's an incredible score either way though. I paid $99 for mine, last one I saw on Ebay sold for $350 (the opening bid).

*just a heads up, I wouldn't mess with the sticker. That black background can peel easy and the white underneath will really stand out. The only real way to get if off is to get it slightly damp and rub it off, but even then, that could do more damage than it's worth. At least with it on their, if you ever sell it, you can tell the buyer he can try to remove it if he (or she) wants to..

Thanks for the info. I was estimating about $400 based on the loose ebay sale and everything else I found on it. I don't plan on messing with the sticker. It's going to stay in the zip-lock bag.
Thanks again.
