Here it is at last, the fantastic Chap Mei Sea Wyvern from the Vikings: Legend of the Norse Warriors line! Fantastic detail in the head. Chap Mei has amazing sculptors on board who can really capture fantasy creatures such as this. Like a giant sea horse, this creature stands over 12 inches tall. It has a base that it's permanently attached to, but it has two swivel points of articulation in the body and the jaws open and close when the top fin is pressed down. This also triggers a light up feature in the 'angler' fin on top of the creature's head. Sculpted into the body of the Wyvern is a saddle, which is made to accomodate the action figures in the line. There's a removable belt along the neck that has handles where the figure can hold onto the steed. The Wyvern is made to be used along with figures in the 3 3/4 inch scale, such as shown here with Beast Raider's Thunderthor. However, since most of us are He-man fans, I dare not deprive you of THIS particular shot!

Too bad the beast is permanently engaged to the base...would be kind of a pain while playing and having adventures and such...but for adult collectors, at least it won't fall over. *sigh*...why can't we see these for cheap in U.S. retail? Maybe the new THOR movie will spur toy stores into carrying "knock offs" of Viking figures...please, Lord!
