At a toy show a few weeks back, I picked up four Ronin Warriors figures by Playmates: Sage, Cye, Kento, and Talpa. They were $5 each and they were in loose but completely untouched condition with all the original instructions and weapon sets still on trees. I remember seeing them in stores when I was younger, but I've never been too fond of the anime style. However, having these toys in hand, I must say they're some of the nicer action figures that were available in 1995. Not everything in the 1990s sucked!
It appears that one of the figures I bought, Kento, might be much rarer than the other three figures. I'm having a difficult time determining which figures in particular are the harder ones to find. Can anyone here enlighten me? Were some characters short packed, or were they just more popular?

I remember Talpa and the villians being more difficult to find years ago. There was a HUGE boom in them like sometime between 2001-2005 for some reason. Now they are farely back to normal in price. Kento is definitely not as easy to find as the rest I think. I know the biggest issue is having all of the armor.

Most of the figures had a cheaper re-release on smaller cards, but the few characters that didn't get reissued sell for a premium. Kento is the most valuable heroic character. While Sekhmet, Anubis, & Dais are the most valuable villains.

in italy they were called "the 5 samurais" (i cinque samurai) and they were released in boxes instead of blisters. boxes got some badass artworks and they are kinda expensive. names are different, over here, there's no figures rarer than others, even if the green good guy seems to be a little harder to find boxed.
