I saw the new POTC On Strange Tides hit WalMart last weekend and bought a Angelica figure but have yet to open it till I get another. They still look to be very stiff figures with little to no improvement on the articulation and at 8 bucks a figure it's better to wait on a sale. First series has the following figures:
Angelica Blackbeard Jack Sparrow Barbossa Gibbs

ive been sitting here watching the news about this earthquake tsunami all night. and thought i would let a little energy out. so i took some quick and not so great comparison shots of the new jakks vs the old zizzle lines. left to right zizzle jakks zizzle jakks etc. i really like both lines and think they look fine together but the jakks do have bigger heads. and i can barely get the crutch guy to stand.

This looks like pretty much the same sculpts with no improvements at all? I'm surprised Jakks Pacific still hasn't produced a better 3 3/4 figure cause this is no improvement and their wrestlers and UFC figures just seem to be the same molds with just different heads and very loose articulation. Thanks for the pictures!

I was surprised when zizzle was awarded the line to begin with and Jakks is doing nothing new either

With no improvement and few new figures to add it's safe to say this line will die sooner than later. I wouldn't buy much here and will wait till these things go on clearance before I make bulk purchase.

I got lucky at a Toys R Us Clearance section last summer I got a Mega Bloks Pirates of the Caribbean Black Pearl Ship Playset for $25! the regular price sticker was $99.99

Pretty much in every retail store that has this stuff it's all going on clearance. I just might pick up a ship if I can get it for 25 or under.

The ship is $25 right now at the Target store by me. They have 7 left, I'm gonna wait it out for a few more days.

I waited for the sale to hit and thought I would pick up one of each. The problem is now I am finding some with purple glow details and other stores only sell figures with white glow. I don't know which type I like better. They are 50% off now so hopefully they will be 75% off soon.

You know what, I keep thinking about the Queen Anne's Revenge ship they had at Costco over Christmas. I thought it was pretty impressive and thinking maybe I should have picked it up as its not around anywhere now. Rocklord and bayushigemma, did either of you end up picking one up for under $25?

I saw some very large Pirates of the Caribbean figures (12 inch?) in a thrift shop the other day. What would be a good price on some loose examples of these? They may have been even larger than 12" for all I know and had very nice costumes and good articulation.

You know what I had a chance at a broken box one at 25 beans but I decided to pass it up. I keep most of stuff in the basement and my basement is getting full and I just didn't need another big piece that would do nothing more than just take up room. I never really saw a review on it and wonder myself if I had passed up on a good thing?

Was anyone aware of the series 2 figures, Gunner and Queen Anne's Revenge Zombie? These and most of series 1 (minus Gibbs) have been showing up in Giant Tiger lately for $4 each. The 6" line is as well for $7 each.
