Anyone else collect these guys? I just picked up a bag full for $5 at a garage sale this weekend. I do like the secondary characters from the first few series'. I probably would have had a bunch of them complete by now, but I trading everything i had last year for a bunch of MIB MOTU vehicles.

outside of scratch the cat who cares. i used to like the show and the comic when i was a kid but man the toyline never stopped. kaybee and toybiz never let it die. the old figure got repacked until the news came out. there has to be at least 100 turtles for each person in the world.

I wouldn't mind picking up the first wave moc at some point. They go for pretty cheap because there are so many of them.

I must admit, i had no interest in this line for years, but still picked up whatever i could get cheap at garage sales. Lately, i've really been getting into the line and have decided to hold onto some of the figures. All I plan to collect are the 4 original turtles and any of the secondary characters up until about 1994.
Last weekend I scored a complete (I think) Technodrome at a garage sale with a bunch of figures for $8. Does anyone have a good pic of a complete Technodrome that I could reference to see if mine's complete? Found a few small pics online but nothing that good.

TMNT is an infinite line!!! There are hundreds of secondary characters and thousands of turtle variants. I own more than 100 figures and a lot of vehicles, and that's just a minimal part from the entire line. I'm still looking for a Sewers playset. I'm not sure if my Technodrome is complete, I bought it from a toy store, but it's opened. Here's some pics: Inside: Outside:

Thanks for the pics figurasdeaccion. I have almost everything shown, just missing the one outside purple laser attachment with the black ladder. Do you think the one on each side had a black ladder and purple foot ramp?

I think each side is different, one have a purple gun and a black ladder and the other side have a purple gun and a purple removable platform.

Yep, I think your right, just found another pic that confirms it. It looks like all I'm missing is the 1 side gun and the ladder that hooks onto it.

There's no site I know of that lists the parts as comprehensively as yojoe does but for TMNT stuff. TMNTtoys.com is as close as you'll get but there are gaps in his listings and it doesn't appear to be updated anymore. I'm actually in the process of creating an online database exclusively for TMNT stuff but as you can appreciate, it's a long process!
One good place I've found when looking for elusive parts and accessories is an eBayer by the name of subtlethinker. His eBay store is Toy Nut Imporium. Sells lots of other stuff but his speciality is part for TMNT.
As for the rare stuff, Scratch is pretty much the top of most vintage lists. Also finding a Technodrome in good condition is quite the challenge too! The Shogun Turtles also tend to fetch a hefty price.

why is my swatter brown? i found a bin filled with tmnt figures and weapons the other day. was sorting through them tonight, matching up weapons with the proper figs and using an online archive for reference. baxter stockman is supposed to have a baby blue fly swatter thing and a baby blue swatter holder (i'm thinking is what that other thing is). my holder is baby blue but the swatter is purplish brown. i can't find a baby blue one in the bin and i don't remember ever owning 2 of the figure. why would they package 2 separate colors together when all other figures in the line have accessories of all one color? or is there another figure out there that has the same weapon and i just lost my baxter baby blue one?.....wow, never knew i could type so much about a damn toy swatter!

I gotta' be one o earth's laziest TMNT collectors.
Da first line figs, (Casey rocks!!) first two Archie comics and Image Bodycounts.
Hmm... I don't have a single Turtles video game in my house. I really like how the Playmates lines co-accesorized though. ie. Toxie, Dick... etc.

This is a very interesting line. I was just getting in to high school when they starting producing these guys and was into nintendo at the time. I had the games but not the figures. think I might actually start collecting them. Although i need to find a good reference for them.

I'd like to get the first series and maybe a few of the second series. After those, I think this line went down hill fast! I'd like to buy them MOC if possible (cheap beaten up card) and open them to have a card fresh loose collection.
I sold a HUGE lot of weapons/accessories/playset parts and I don't remember it selling for much.
I also sold a gigantic bag of loose figures for like $15 at the flea market.

Well I went and looked at several reference sites regarding the totally awesome dudes and really like the figures. I think I am going to collect all of the first line or 2 of actual turtles and then all of the background characters. There are so many of them it just seems like a fun venture and I like the variation of characters as well.

You'll have fun collecting TMNTs. A whole lot of great side-characters. Though around '94 the toyline goes to crap.

Though around '94 the toyline goes to crap. totally. the side characters were always what attracted me to the line! sure, the turtles themselves are awesome and the reason for the toyline, but dudes like baxter stockman and all the crazy mutated monsters are way better in my opinion. i lost interest (and still don't have interest) once they started all the gimmick crap, even for side characters. usagi yojimbo in space, hippie gecko, detective don...etc.

I found a Rocksteady lately and I forgot how really well made these toys were! I think I may want to get the guys back that I used to have. I couldn't afford to buy that many when they came out (I used to buy a LOT of candy) but I remember buying Raphael first because I thought his facial expression was the best of the four. I ended up having Raph, a foot soldier, Shredder, Baxter Stockman and Wingnut and Screwloose. I remember Raph and Shredder had squishy heads but I have seen some turtles with hard heads, both look pretty good in my opinion. Anyone know what a good deal is for a complete Raphael soft-head in decent condition?
