I was wondering if anyone else here collects the Muppets figures which Pallisades did. My girlfriend just started collecting them and some of the accessories are pretty amazing.

Yeah, I have some of them. Got all of Electric Mayhem, a few other pieces. They're very cool and it's a shame the company went out of business. They can be flimsy but they look awesome.
The Sesame Street protos are incredible too. I'd kill for a 2-Headed Monster figure but I'm not paying $700 for a proto.

yeah palisades made some excellent characters, but i always prefer the 70s and 80s muppets toys, i like when character toys don't look EXACTLY like the characters.

Hey muck, what kinda older Muppets stuff do you know of? Because I'm kinda interested in that stuff too, the best I've found are the Schleich toys.

the schleich stuff is awesome, but my holy grail of toy collecting is the Wilkins/Wontkins vinyl puppet set from the late 50s. They are the first 2 muppets toys ever made. in the 70s there was also a knockoff Ernie bank called "Arnie" that was a blue, 4 armed ernie with a brown fur beard. i believe it was a carnival prize and so it is extremely tough to find. There was also a large, ugly Bert bank made in the 70s that was cast in mostly blue that i am after.
besides those US releases, i am SUPER interested in foreign released sesame street toys. when the show was shown in other countries starting in the 70s, it was almost completely new content relative to that country, rather than just re-runs of the american show. each country would create their own main characters. so a lot of really weird looking foreign muppets got made into pvc figures and rubber finger puppets, and they look totally wild!

Do you have any pics of this "Arnie"? Sounds ridiculous. The description reminds me of when Grimace was Evil Grimace with 4 arms.

Interesting, I don't recall the 80s muppets stuff, but then again, as a kid, I was always more into the likes of M.A.S.K., Transformers, GIJOE and Voltron.
Interestingly enough, it turns out that "starting to collect" has turned into a major understatement. I'll post pics of it in the next few weeks when it all arrives.
