Burble is a custom that made its way on Ebay a few years back

It was made by the people at Lulu Berlu. They still sell it. It fits in well with the other. The price is very hefty.

I emailed Lulu Berlu, and they are sold out. It took them 4 years to get him sold out, so they won't be getting him back...

I'm almost positive they came in the classic poly bag with cardboard header...just like army men! I passed on these many a time...how am I supposed to display 'em? They don't make figure stands this small!
*whimper*

the hole is his neck / back (whatever the location) is always for the swords sheath. He also came with a red cape which had a loop made out of gold string and it goes around his neck. other blackstar figures like overlord had holes that were for the cape

There are some really weird questionable things that go along with this toy line.
I've seen quite a few people mention Blackstar missing his cape in the LL series. Not only would it have made sense to dismiss the cape for the LL aspect, but also, I'm sure the LL figs came out AFTER the cartoon launch, and in the cartoon, he never wore a cape, so they most likely thought it would be more along the lines of the cartoon to take the cape out.
What I find really weird are the number of figures that did not appear in the cartoon. The majority of the line does appear in the cartoon. However, some are nowhere to be found.
There never was a White Knight in the cartoon, nor was there a Tongo or Meuton figure.
What throws me off a bit is how you have examples of figures that were NOT in the show and then you have examples of figures that SHOULD have been made.
There was a Green Knight that was a minion of the Overlord that would have been an interesting figure. There was also a one handed pirate and a couple of great female figures as well, not to mention the fat zombie leader in the last episode, that if you look realaly good and listen to his voice sounds and looks a LOT like the ugly demon gangster in the first story of Heavy Metal.
Also strange is how the ONLY example of the common "demon" figures only appears once in the next to last episode and he has wings, but it's clearly one of them.
And the Mara Figure is apot on except for the giant glow in the dark disc-halo that they stuck on her head for some reason.
Part of me wonders if those 3 figures may have been examples of what was to come if CBS had ordered more episodes? Maybe Galoob got a look at scenes or storyboards from a never made second season?
It's a mystery that I suppose we will never have the answer to.

As a kid I had almost the entire blackstar line. Its hard getting these guys back. Always liked the cartoon. Both it and Thundaar are very underrated.

Good morning fellow Blackstar collectors. I am new contributor to the site, however, I have been following these forums for years as an avid reader. I am a collector of rare and hard to find figures. Just thought I would post what many would consider to be the Holy Grail of Blackstar figures. This is one of only two to exist in the world in this condition. It is AFA Graded and from my private collection. Thank you Attachments:

Thank you I hate to burst your bubble (no pun intended) but how do you know that someone doesn't have one of those in their closet that hasn't been "unearthed" yet? It's a very nice figure at any rate and I'm sure anyone here would be proud to own it.

From my experience and research into this line I don't believe there is one. Most of the stuff can be obtained pretty reasonably which I think is great! If I were pressed for an answer I suppose... a MISB Wind Machine?

I found an image of the 7th Trobbit figure. His name is Burble. What is weird is that this appears to be a store exclusive from lulu-berlu made in 2007. Does anyone have more info about it and is this really considered a part of the collection because of it's manufacturing date? with the group: This guy's expression is priceless! He looks like he just realized he lost his Mum in the grocery store. I guess he fits in with the other trobbits but something is very subtly "off" about his construction.

I don't know why people go on about Mara so much. Talk about an ugly figure. She always reminded me of an onion.

if it was hangin in someones closet for that long...it won't be in that condition thats for sure....i think he meant the grade that afa gave it....its only 2 of that grade ever graded by afa..... ya getting anything above a 8.5 seems pretty hard. But all of them are so close anyways i just think of anything from 7 to 10 to be in good enough shape to leave on card. I won a few AFA items for super cheap a few years back and opened the figures and took them off card as well... ;D ;D ;D...AFA that!!! ....(yes i think AFA is silly) Now speaking of Black Star I have really wanted to star this line. I love the cartoon as a kid but I never had any of the figures. I have a couple now but they seem to be hard to find in ok to good shape...and if you find them complete the price goes way up. One of the few lines i have noticed a complete loose figure sells for almost as much as a damaged carded figure.

Blackstar is an awesome line..especially Neptul, Tongo and Gargo...i had most of the figures at one point or another....and yes afa is kind of a waste...unless you are the kind of collector who just needs the best example and needs documentation to prove it...if you are that kind of collector that is cool too!!

Hi, I am sorry I wasn't more clear. The Mara figure I posted is only one of two to ever be graded, period. I am pretty sure there are not even that many Mara figures still carded. I would probably guess less than five The only other one ever graded was in 2004. I enjoy the security of it being sealed and protected by the UV protection they offer. That's the only reason why I get my rare figures graded.

The closet remark wasn't meant to be taken literally but thanks for clarifying . I don't know much about the AFA but it stands to reason that from the thousands of figures that were produced there could be a case of them somewhere that could contain a figure or two that would get an equally good rating. What you are saying is that there are only two documented figures of this grade? If so, I get it now .

I have several other MOC Series one figures from the Blaskstar line to include the Gargo figure you were referring to. He's ungraded because he's not as rare, but he is in excellent condition. The bubble is mint, just a slight warp in the card.

I have seen radio control kits you can get that are blimps, etc., would be too cool if someone would modify one of these to fly around their room . You would probably have to make a bigger balloon but I imagine its do-able...
