What no hype around here for the new Joes??? I recently picked up the TRU Exclusive Spirit Iron-Knife and Quick Kick and these figures are so freakin awesome! I'm waiting for a sale to buy the whole set or at least most of it but I have yet to find one. Any news of some rare variants yet with the new line?

My closest TRU still has a ton of old stock left, so I won't be seeing those two for a while (unless I travel a bit). I'm a fairly avid Joe collector though, so I ended up buying all the new vehicles, but skipped out on most of the figures. I have enough Dukes, Snake Eyes, Storm Shadows and Beach Heads. The new Alley Viper is pretty sweet...yeah I'm a troop builder, so I got four! I have plenty of Firefly figures, but for some odd reason the newest incarnation spoke to me. Also got the new Cobra Commander...hey he's probably my favorite Joe character, plus I think this version looks pretty darned spiffy! The new HISS tank has been both criticized and praised. I think it's a fine example of an updated, modernized HISS. True, the treads could be a bit more loose (for easier play), but it's generally cool. Too bad Hasbro couldn't include a few more option guns...they could really take the swappable weapon thing so much further, but why they keep holding back is beyond me. I never got any version of the Snow Cat before, so I was glad to get the "new" one. It's what I expected it to be in terms of quality...love the look, but Hasbro needs to quit using 80s vehicle molds in conjunction with the modern figures...they DO NOT FIT!!! ARGH!!! The Ghost Hawk is a neat update on the Skyhawk, but I honestly could've skipped this incarnation...still neat though. The Doom Cycle is awesome for what it is and I don't care what anyone says. It's just fun to play with. I could pop those guns and blades out all day and skewer my Joes to death! Moohoohahaha! The driver isn't write-home-to-mom awesome, but is a welcome new Drednok character. The mech suits are pretty snazzy. Over the years we've gotten various forms of robotic exo-armor type vehicles for our Joes and I think Hasbro finally done us right! I'm looking forward to more!

Already found Wave 2 at Target and I had to pick up two figures which were Zartan and Snake Eyes, off course I couldn't find the Wave 2 Storm Shadow.

I saw the Zartan figure yesterday. It's really nice, but I can't afford to purchase both vintage and modern Joe figures at the same time unfortunately!

You guys might want to check your Walmarts cause I found them at 3 bucks each on clearance. I didn't find any choice figures but at 3 bucks how can you go wrong with any of them.

At Ross stores I found the following Joe items: Doom Cycle A.W.E. Striker Ghost Hawk Cobra Ice Cutter
These were priced at 7.99 each which is almost less than half the retail price they were at Target or Wal-Mart. It's a great deal for a vehicle and figure for only 8 bucks.

For the first time I actually found a Croc Master and wonder what I missed out on in this line with the later waves? Does anyone know a link for a list of waves on this line?

I have bought/mail ordered every figure so far. the latest figures are by far the best...but are also the last. Techno Viper Sci Fi Lifeline Airtight all super cool figures. I also got both the Sgt Slaughters Marauders and the Dred packs for big bad toy store...they are super cool as well.

Indeed! I didn't spring for a Sarge figure, though...after Zaranna, couldn't afford him. Maybe some day.
Not to get off-topic, but I wonder why Hasbro didn't use this same body formula and materials on the various Marvel figure lines? Joes are more durable, have better paint, freer articulation, etc.
The last wave or so of Joes have been tough to find at retail since the beginning of the year, but I've noticed them slowly and sparcely showing up at retail lately. Getting in the last few licks before the movie stuff, I suppose.

Damn those are so awesome looking figures! I gotta check out the BBTS and see how they are if they still sell them? One reason I don't see any of the new Joes around my way is because the Artic Destro rules the hangers and at one of local Targets it has 34 of them and only that. Probably won't see them off the pegs till the new movie figures start to hit retail.

The movie figures look crap. Sorry, but re-using molds of the Mocassin, Hiss, the new Vamp for some of the vehicles, the fact that the figures have crappy action features on some, that some of the figures look nothing like the actual movie characters-i.e. Cobra Commander in BLUE-when hes in sleek black in the film, the rubbishy giant missle launchers with figures, they've even added another Alley Viper and Night Viper (while looking nice aren't part of the film), even the Cobra Trooper for the film has a figure that doesn't look like the cool blue urban camo masked troopers in the movie.... Its ridiculous....whats even more crap is the vehicle figures only have 5 points of articulation...thats NOT a Joe figure. Hasbro said its cost cutting. Funny how their Star Wars stuff always is made very well...and they keep making loads of classic stuff whilst Joe is continually buggered about with, changing the looks and theme of the toy line and crap distribution...The movie line reminds me of the rubbish Hasbro put out when Stargate came out....this isn't a movie line, its just 'we got pre-production images and rehash old stuff'....better served for the 30th line really, if must at a push...
What I'd really like is if Hasbro applied the same mentality to their Star Wars crap-a classic line of new sculpts of the originals as they did with the 25th range ongoing, and perhaps a line based on a cartoon series, all they need is to de-liniate the two, if one had an animated look perhaps and the other looked realistic....as if they have the brain to do that now....

So those packs are ONLY exclusive to BBTS right? Also how much more did they add for shipping?
