Just thought it was worth saying hi. I'm an Australian Collector, who started out mainly as a Transformers collector. Nowadays, I'm trying to get hold of complete collections of Visionaries, C.O.P.S, Galaxy Rangers,Silverhawks, Captain Power, Sky Commanders, Centurions and Defenders of the Earth, as well as the complete series of non-Action Master 92-93 G1, Microchange, Diaclone and 87-88 toylines. The dream would be to have them on permanent loan at a museum one day where kids could admire them for centuries to come. I have to admit though, you kind of feel inadequate coming onto the forums lol. I mean you feel so proud of the stuff you've got only to find that here people have even rarer stuff and protos you could never ream of affording . Anyone else had a similar experience?

Welcome aboard. I sometimes feel that other people's collections are so much better than mine but just remember that each collection is a personal thing. I choose not to have too many expensive peices as my kids will probably break them anyways so GI JOEs with accessory pack weapons are fine with me, other people need to have every figure with every accessory no matter what the cost.

Welcome! Remember, a lot of those rare expensive figures were found at the bottom of bins at flea markets and charity shops. Couple of mine were, anyway. A Rock Lords Rock Shot just sold for $37 on feeBay. I found mine at the Starvation Army for 10 cents. Just gotta keep looking! That's the fun of collecting for me.

Yes, I ALWAYS have that feeling. Here I am, showing off my She-Ra stuff and my 1980's creatures collection... to see people who have ChiTech and DorMei rarities, Japanese monsters and 1000$ worth pieces. In LaughingGiraffe forum, I was about to show off my Safari ltd sealife and my collection of whales... when I met someone who had ten times the quantity of sealife that I had, including many species of fishes I had never seen as toys. Today, I saw people showing me THREE models of jellyfishes I had never seen before. And they have it at home. So, you see, I have lived that experience many times. One consolation: I have the biggest collection of sealife... HERE.
