You probably have heard of or seen various M.A.R.S. robot toys or figures around for years. Lots of places have 'em or variations of them. I know Wal-Mart is the one major retailer who has consistently had them for quite some time. Never really interested in buying them until recently. Usually they make larger 'bots over a foot tall and smaller guys about 6-7 inches...always with some sound effects and motorized function. Well, about a month ago, I was browsing in Dollar General (sidetracked from buying crackers), when I saw some new M.A.R.S. stuff on their Christmas wall. They were 3 3/4 inch figures with ball and socket joints. Wow! Evil robots for my G.I. Joes to fight!!!

Here they are in their 4 inch and under glory! They have joints in the shoulders, hips, knees, and ankles. All these parts pop off, so you can custom build your own 'bots. They also have hand-held and backpack mounted weapons. There are six in all, but come in three-packs. You will get doubles of three of these, but if you like to troop build, this might work out okay for you.

Each pack also comes with four base pieces...if you get all three packs you end up with two of each terrain type. Yeah, all six bases combine with each other to form larger bases. There's a ruined urban setting, a futuristic-looking floor, and some kind of "elemental" setting.

Sadly, when I buy stuff on the go...I usually chuck unwanted packaging in the trash, so I don't have a shot of these MIMP. They have names, but I kinda forget. I know the white one is Frosty, one of the blue ones is Martian, and another blue one is Coma (...weird...), the rest have typical Transformer-type descriptive robot names.
Oh, and each three-pack retails at five dollars...go get 'em!

I was extremely supportive of this line 2 years back when the first wave of 4'' figures hit. To the point of actually conversing with the manufacturer overseas and having some shipped in from "domestic " sources and foreign. They are great , cheap toys and so long as they stay "cheap" ill continue to support the company that makes them.
They have some other killer product that hasnt made it to North America yet but i cant wait for it to land. 1:24th scale figures with mecha's that are motorized. Think Mech Warrior with walking ability (im assuming they didnt have that feature) available at your local walmart or grocery store toy aisle.
KICK *** . I cant wait.
