holy- I didn't even consider the front heavy issue when trying to stand Soundwave... that's a good point! Yeah, I ve gotten a couple junker Soundwave(s); one missing the tape door and the other in better shape. Funny thing is both were painted with sharpie markers, so I spent some serious time and sweat equity using warm water and gentle sponge cleaning 'em. Most of the sharpie and ink came off, and look a 80% better... but eh, couldn't part with em. Soundwave is my favorite! Here's to a classics 2.0 issue that actually has knees that bend the correct way!

Here's to a classics 2.0 issue that actually has knees that bend the correct way! It's not an official Classics release, but the Music Label Soundwave (it will actually play MP3's off an SDCard) sure fits the bill for an update for the character. Look and judge for yourself - www.seibertron.com/transformers/toys/misc/soundwave-spark-blue/1349/1/122/Only problem is, thanks to the limited release and the electronics inside, he doesn't go cheap.

In case of ink or sticker glue, rubbing alcohol is practical also.

NICE! Thank you guys, that is really helpful... I still have some parts to clean on 'em so this is cool to know... and knowing is half the battle!

As a matter of fact, I've been using so much rubbing alcohol in the last years I need to buy a new bottle. Sticker glue is very reluctant, not just on toys, but also on ceramik, acetates, glass...

this is dangerous territory, and i don't know how it works with plastic, but if you have the patience, it is perfect for removing paints. acetone based nail polish remover. like i said, i don't know how it works with plastic and metal based figures, but i've used it to remove paint on soft vinyl so i could have a blank "canvas" for customizing...

I found a Star Scream in his box today. But I don't know a thing about Transformers other than the easy stuff from watching the cartoon and so on.
The box has a 22 on it and the only other English is:
Takara Co. Ltd. 1980, 1983 Made in China
also after some Chinese writing its says...No 1!
Cool thing is he is complete and package fresh, only 1/3 of the sticker are applied, who ever did them did them perfectly, and the rest are still on the sheet.
I was wondering is this an old Takara one, or a north American one, or some kinda re-issue?
I will take some pictures later tonight.
