I spent years passing these toys on the isles. they're just too much for little kids. but the more and more i look back on this line, i would have loved it if it was a little kid. the newer ones have more generic figures but more dragons and beasts than before. i think i might pick some of the dragons/dinosaurs up. but i dont want to fall down a slippery slope....the space ones are on clearence at target too. anyone every bought these?

No, but our discount stores in the Netherlands got in some spiffy Imaginext knockoffs and I did pick up those.

My nephew's got a few of these and they do kick some serious butt I had some Fisher Price Adventure People sets as a kid so I'd have definitely bugged mum until she bought me some of these.

I love Imaginext and I ain't ashamed to say it. They -- A) remind me of a time when toys were built to last B) have some extremely simplistic, but beautiful sculpts C) some are just BRILLIANTLY engineered. That's what initially drew me to them. D) In an age when hunting down current lines is an ever increasing pain in the bottom, they are very easy to find I could go on, but that's my short answer...

That's exactly what drove me to get some cavemen and small prehistoric animal. They are tough, advnture like an have a naivity that remind me of past toys. The only thing that refrain me a bit to get them on a grand is they're big size and the fact that the collection is pretty huge, making it hard for a part time completist like me to get just a handful...

You guys all took the words right out of my mouth. If I had kids, they would have a complete line of these!

As a father, I can say my son loves them! He just got some of the Space set and I am blown away. These remind me of vintage toys because of the playsets and fun features of the toys. They don't have stupid "action-features" where figures kick, punch, or flip - but they do have spinning doors, monsters that can eat other figures, and playsets that a child can actually play with. I can't say enough good things about these toys!

I have a ton of the King Arthur series stuff but I'm just not into their new molds.
