I am talking about vintage Star Wars, what exactlly is the difference between a DT lightsabre and the normal telescoping lightsaber that came with the original Luke, Ben and Vader figures?

If you look at the regular telescoping saber, you'll notice the very thin section on the tip. The DT saber looked just like this, but the thin section would slid out from inside of the thicker section, doubling the length.

They're not repros. Repro is different than original. The repro one have been painted on it by the owner/sellers. I have seen repro weapons in ebay and other few websites. Repro telescoping cost $35 each!

I recently picked up a vintage Luke Jedi figure with a snap clasp on the front of his cape. I have heard of this variant before and just wondered if anyone knew any details about it. I know the figure I got as a kid was the first version with the blue lightsaber, but the cape was sewn closed.

I think the snap version was produced earlier than the sewn version but they stopped making them due to the higher cost. I don't think the snap cape version ever originally came with a green lightsaber as both mistakes were corrected at about the same time, though there might be a few floating around out there (unless it's MOC, it's impossible to prove it).

Thanks for the info, I have never owned a snap cape for Luke Jedi and actually though it was a fake at first.

I might keep this one as a variant Luke Jedi (one with snap cape and blue sabre, one with regular cape and green sabre).

I recently acquired a yoda from the ESB set from 1980. And on further examination it is quite darker in green than two others I have that are light green. I am aware of rebelscum.com stating that yoda came in green & grey, but is there any clue to where this darker green yoda comes from. I may post pics if needed for clarification.

The Dark green Yoda is a variation, I have never heard of a grey one, The dark green one usually comes with a brown snake and is sometimes known as brown snake yoda, Also the cane is a different shade if I remember correctly.
