I was looking through pictures on a disc and I happened across a couple of pics of a knock-off figure I bought a couple of years back that may interest some of you. I had forgotten all about these figures. I don't recall the company name but I do recall there were multiple characters, I bought the figures in 2006, and I bought them at one of those "everything's a dollar" stores.

Although the figure looks sturdy, it was made out of a very cheap, soft plastic. I opened this figure and screwed up his nose just putting his helmet on him. I wish I would have bought the store out of them because the few I sold on ebay, still packaged, I got nearly $20 a piece for and people were asking for more of them. I have never seen any since.

I think it came out within the last 5 years, and was immediatly at Big Lots. I cant remember the name of them, but they were greek hoplites that had removeable armor, anyone heard of these guys? I think they may have made romans also.

I think they may have made romans also. Weren't they Trojan War or something, based on the Illiad? If they're the one I think they had Achilles, Odysseus, hector and Paris. The greek were in red and the trojan in blue. Never saw them live, only on the net. They really didn't make much waves... Update: The ones I think of are TROJAN LEGEND. Don't know if they ever came out... www.toydirectory.com/monthly/productsbymfr.asp?id=318

I bought an Achilles at Big Lots years ago and have wished I bought more ever since. Here's a link I found: www.toydirectory.com/monthly/ToyShow/toyshow.asp?id=110&cat=26 figures total: Greeks (RED): Achilles, Odysseues, and Soldier. Trojans (Blue): Aeneas, Hector, Soldier. Just scored the Trojans from ebay. Now I need to get some Greeks (My Achilles' Heel was his neck -who knew?). The gear fits on Remco/MOTU style figures.

yeah ive got three of em and I like em all. I think the biggest issue I have is their articulation is kind of weird. for some reason all of mine keep dropping all their weapons and their helmets fall off a lot. the helmets fit perfectly on some motu figures

The fact they are made of such soft quality plastic, I wonder how they'll age. I'd love to see one after a kids beat it up in their back yard. They appeal to me in a destructive kind of sense. But they weren't widely distributed? By the time I want one in 10 yrs are they gonna' be 'gems'?
