I am a firm believer in toys being original as in how they were made i do not have any customs nor do i have any toys that were altered in any way. the only toy i ever had that was altered was a sorceress i bought that had bunk legs and i replaced it with a mint one soon after. and i have been looking for a uss flagg for a long time as i do not own one yet!! and to see that someone did this to one..... breaks my heart!!! If you knew how much time and money and effort i put into collecting toys you would be shocked!

What's wrong with the Flagg??? It looks pretty cool to me. For all we know this guy had or found a damaged or "well used" Flagg and decided to do something interesting with it. It's blue, decaled out, and it opens up a whole other world for whoever decides to buy it. The joes had the flagg and a platform base for it's water vehicles, so it's about time the cobra hydrofoil had somewhere to park too. Lol. Sal

Not sure if that Flagg is well done or not, but it is covered in dust which makes it look pretty shitty. The guy should've wiped it down before taking pics. Also the paint looks to shiny or something, for a battle cruiser.
Would be a cool custom, though only really have the space to display one Flagg, so would prefer the original. Good idea to paint one up if it had a severley yellowed body or something, or maybe even customize up a battle damaged version.

That thing is so big I'm surprised it ever saw release in the first place. I would be even more shocked if we ever see its re-release in the 25th Anniversary line. Anyhow, I started to customize an old slightly beat up vintage Star Wars X-Wing so it would match that Target exclusive Shadow Trooper from Episode III but I gave up as I realized it was going to take a LONG time to finish it, plus finding a cockpit canopy for it wasn't going to be an easy task. The X-Wing didn't have the wing guns that fit on the wing tips but I found a generic toy jet at a thrift store and I was going to glue the missiles from that onto the wings of the X-Wing. It may have turned out cool once I finished it, but I finally realized life was just too short .

Soundwave, I know what you mean about wanting to collect toys in the original state... I used to be that exact same way. I could not alter or change my toys, but then as time went by... I realized "why not?" I mean there are some toys I do not want to customize, but others now that I feel could totally use it. I guess it was a way of me being a purist, and that's cool... but I also felt it was tight and limiting. I am still with you on maintaining some of my collections in a certain condition and standard... but learning to enjoy the art of customizing... usually with broken or damaged toys. It's actually rewarding to repair something that others may have not valued or thought was junk! I have to ask, (because of my own mind set and reasoning behind why I would not alter) what is it that bothers you so much about altering/changing toys? Just curious.

I am not into customs. I have a wonder bread he-man that is a custom and I don't like the job whoever did it did. The paint is bad and the paint on his boots scrapes real easy. So I guess that experience ruined it for me?

I don''t have a problem with customising, especially if a vintage toy is already ruined by age. I have to say tho that I would have tried to modify the structure and shape somewhat to make it more unique. Nearly all the Cobra vehicles had an experimental/fantasy sort of element to them, and this just looks like they stole the 'Joes carrier and painted it. It looks more like a Night Force Flagg!

Some of my customs are actually more dear to me than the original versions. I do follow a simple rule, that I can never alter or customize something I do not have an extra of. But sometimes, it can be extremely rewarding to add to your universe by making a slight alteration, addition, headswap or complete repaint.
