Whats the deal with these? Some guy almost ran me over trying to get some today and hovered over me until he finally asked if I was gonna buy the last gold coin Animated Debut: Boba Fett. When I told him yeah, he was tried to make me an offer. Are these gold coins rare or is there some other special secret squirrel thing I haven't heard about.

These are UGH. Which stands for Ultimate Galactic Hunt. A clever way of hasbro to sell more product. What they do is they repackage figures on a card with gold foil letters instead of white ones and gold coloured coins instead of silver, then make them chase variants. Not really something to get wet about, unless you're a MOC variant collector or really enamoured by those coin extras. Me, I couldn't give a toss. I can't find most of those figures on retail as is, so I don't need secondary market wholesalers marking these up for just gold foil packaging. The figures remain the same. Think of it as foil Magic cards or foil comic covers. Same principle. Little bit of excitement now, practically nobody will care in five years.

I do think the packaging looks better than the regular release though......

They come with both the gold and regular coins. Don't fret. These sell on Ebay for barely a $1 profit, with the exception of the DarkTrooper, which I already have from 8 years ago anyways.

I too am after the McQuarries, in fact those are the only SW figures I am collecting right now. I love his origninal concepts! I only have McFett and the McQuarrie General right now. Passed a bunch up weeks ago and now of course they are gone. Don't care about the gold coins or foil, but thats just how my McFett came. Silver or Gold - whatever, I collect the figure!
