Have you ever made your own toys? Lately, I discovered Crayola air-drying modeling paste. With it, I decided to make more "Imperial 1983 Evil Pegasuses". I made two stallions, my original 1983 Imperial Evil Pegasus being a female (I named her DRAGGIN'YALE, remember?). First, I made structures with pieces of wood, metal wire, clay and sillicone. Then, when my structures were ready, I put a layer of Crayola paste I modeled on them. When the paste dried, I painted them and varnished them. At last, I put the fake hair tail. The results are seen above. The first stallion is white with chestnut points (back, tail, tip of legs and chest) and blue eyes. Hisd name is DANUBE STREAM. He is Draggin'Yale's boyfriend. The second stallion, called DRIPPIN'BLOOD is roan (a bay coat mixed with white hairs all over the body). He is looking for a mate of his own. Sorry we do not see the necks, hidden by the wings: the spines on the neck are made with wooden pointy picks. How about you? Have you ever made companions to go with your own figures?

I love how DragginYale sorta' has this epic saga going - she's been through some adventures. Man, DrippinBlood has a real 'don't mess with me' look going on. Still ain't made any figures myself, but I daydream bout it, so once I find the time...

Love the pegasus beasts, btw.

To help your memory, in case you didn't remember Draggin'Yale, here she is: She is my original Imperial 1983 evil pegasus. She is light bay like many of her kind. But now with her new friends, we can see that this species comes in fact in many coat colors.

Here is a second female I made. Her name is DENVER DEMON. Her coat color is pure black. Although she seems bigger than the others on the picture, she actually is the same size; I simply cut the corners on the scanning, which made the figure look bigger. She is made from the same materials as DRIPPIN'BLOOD and DANUBE STREAM: wood, metal wire, siliccone and Crayola pasta which I painted.

Wow, Denver Demon came out real nice, bowhead. Intense. Photographs well too, with that kinda' sheen going there.

Wow, Denver Demon came out real nice, bowhead. Intense. Photographs well too, with that kinda' sheen going there. Thanks! I am planning to make more of this kind, experimenting more coat colors. Maybe I could make a "buckskin" (tan with black points) one? Or a chestnut (brown with no black points) one? Or a new sort of "composite white" (leucistic)? Or a pure white one? You may give me ideas, if you like. As you may have already noticed, all my... huh...(how should we call this species of animal, by the way?) "dragon-horses" (in the meantime, I will use this term) have names that contain two words, the first word beginning by a "D". I chose this way of naming them to underline the fact they all come from the same "barn" as Draggin'Yale ( my barn). I was wondering... is there anyone else who owns an Imperial "dragon-horse"? If so, how did you call him/her?

Crayola paste sounds interesting. I assume all the imperial pegasus are female. They arent anatomically correct . So u sculpted the actual black pegasus bot just puttied over the real toy? Nice work almost looks like the real toy.

First, no they are not all females: Danube Stream, Drippin'Blood are male; of course, if you were talking about the original Imperial toy, yes, to me, they are all female.. And no, my self-made pegacapras (a few forum members offered to call this species like that) are not original figures with pasta on them, they are MADE FROM SCRATCH. Only Draggin'Yale is original. I made my other ones with pieces of wood, metal wire, clay and silliccone, to make a basik structure for each individual. Then, when my basic structure is ready, I spread the pasta on them. When everything is dry, I paint them, varnish them and put the fake hair tail. This is how I now own a troop with individuals featyring different coat colors.

Anyway, here is DANISH BOY. Danish Boy is Composite White just like Danube Stream, only his leucism is a lot more pronounced: his colored parts are light blond instead of being reddish brown. Though Danish Boy is a lot bulkier than Danube Stream, who is rather slim, he seems to be of a similar breed: he has ultra-wide nostrals and the spikes of his head are blunt, features he shares with Draggin'Yale's boyfriend. It seems both Danish Boy and Danube Stream are from regions with cold winters, maybe Central Europe and Scandinavia.

I have been practicing molding resin action figures. It seems easy but it's pretty complicated and hard not to get bubbles in the finished product(need a pressure pot to guarantee flawless casts). It's great being able to make your own figures- Eventually I want to produce all the Super Powers figures I wish were made and can actually cast them from original SP parts so it's almost like the real deal, just resin instead of plastic!

Neurological issues!!! I hope it's not too serious... By the way, you're not the only one to have made a fig using an old figure. I also did it. Well, not exacly... in my case, I repaired a broken figure. Last Summer, I bought a damaged Imperial Pegasus (Pegacapra) on Ebay: it had lost its two wings. So, with pieces of wood, metal wire and silliccone, I managed to make it a new set of wings. Not only that, but with a little remain of Crayola pasta and paint, I made it male organs, making that new member of my herd a stallion. He is light bay in color, like Draggin'Yale. However, I still don't know how to name him... like the other pegacapras in my stable, it must be a name starting with a "D" and made of two words... any ideas for a name to my new male pegacapra?

That sounds good... But it has to come in two words: all my pegacapras have a name with two words. Dashwing Fly, maybe? What do you think?

Before I show you my new female Pegacapra, let me show you four silly figures I made: the DAKOTAS. The Dakotas, as I say in a thread about toys we wish were made from TV shows, was a western TV series that aired in 1963. It told the criminal cases on which a sheriff and his three deputies worked on. Each figurine measures about one inch and a half, is made of wood, silliccone and clay and look rather silly. From left to right: Michael Greene (deputy Vance Porter), Larry Ward (marshall Frank Ragan), Jack Elam (deputy JD Smith and Chad Everett (deputy Del Stark).
