I had seen these about the 'net for a few years now in my pursuit of Masters of the Universe knock offs and bootlegs (as I'm sure many other collectors have). I've seen some on eBay for...well...a lot. Luckily, I got a few for fairly cheap.
These figures are from Greece and apparently made by a company called Alfa. That's all we get. The actual name of this toy line can be put up for debate, but I simply call it "UFO".
The figures themselves have what I assume is a bootlegged version of the standard MOTU He-Man body archetype and new heads. They are made of plastic with solid rubber legs. Each comes with weapons and a
cheap-o black vinyl cape.
You see, each figure comes in a bag with this cardboard backer. The backer is actually two of the same backer piece stapled together. Weird and kinda unnecessary.
The reason I debate the name of the line is that because you can see the non-colored side of the backer shows instructions for a UFO or flying saucer toy of a totally different kind! The words "battery" and "turn" on the front colored part are probably just advertising the way the saucer toy works. For all we know, this company might have just reused packaging from another toy to save money or whatever. Probably why the figure's backer piece is actually two stapled together...to hide the instructions for the other toy. There ya go...I guess.
Each figure (at least the ones I have) comes with the same set or darkish blue weapons on a sprue. You get a spear, bow, arrow quiver, and a sword. The sword looks to be lifted from the MOTU sword featured in the weapons pack and Greyskull rack. The others? Not sure.
Each figure also comes with a shield. These are made of two pieces, a front and back part. I'm assuming the deco scheme you get is random with each character. Yeah, I think my third figure lost his shield out of a hole in the crappy plastic bag packaging. Such is life.
As you can (hopefully) see, these guys fit in nicely with all your Masters of the Universe or MOTU knock off characters...no scale shift. They make great intergalactic enforcers! My only real debate would be whether or not the heads are original or modified bootlegs since the one guy's noggin resembles Greedo from Star Wars a bit. I'd also love to see if more head styles or color variations are out there!
